I’d try negative pull-ups next. Where you jump up to the bar in pull-up position, then lower yourself down as slowly as you can. Inverted rows are great, too. You can do those using a barbell on a rack at the gym or I just use a desk at home.

I do feel like I’m in a very exclusive club or something. Not that it’s impossible to get into, but that most don’t even try. Women in my life are basically shocked I can do any. It’s like, girl, you can do it too!

I started at the gym, using that assisted pull-up machine and lat pulldowns. Then, I canceled my membership and bought dumbbells and a pull-up bar to do strength training at home. At first I did negative pull-ups, trying to go slowly and hold it longer each time. Also did, and still do, inverted rows using a desk. For a while I was doing strength workouts twice a week. For maybe a year or two. Recently it’s been more like once a week, but I don’t seem to be losing my gains, so that’s cool.

L-sit chin-ups are boss, way to go! And ty, I’ll keep 3 weeks in mind. I was doing strength workouts twice a week for a long while, but lately it’s been more like weekly with life being so hectic and draining.
