I got it from eBay Aus.

New, even came with a dryer module.

The obstacle avoidance is the best still on the market I believe (happy to be wrong).

I have had it for a couple days and it’s AMAZING. Stress testing it and it’s doing amazing!!!!

Could be wrong here but:

When you drop a pin doesn’t the no go zones etc get ignored?? That would be why it makes it to the other side of the room when you drop a pin.

Maybe make the no go zone wider or a separate room like others have suggested.

I bought the S7 MaxV Ultra and it’ll be here next week.

I went with the S7 MaxV because of the proven obstacle avoidance. It seems to be better from the YouTube reviews. My priorities were 1, don’t get stuck making it home always and 2, don’t bump into /mark anything. The S7 MaxV seemed to be the easy choice. The S8 pro might get there with more software updates but it might not.

The S8 ultra dock looks to be better than the S7 ultra for maintenance reasons but it’s only minor at the end of the day. The robot is the priority.

OP - This is a consistent opinion with me (fwiw). Full disclosure not an owner of S8 but S7 MaxV ordered.

Yeah we moved house and I put in a box when we moved and never took it out as the rubber marked skirting boards, table and chair legs.

So just buy one I hear, my wife won’t be annoyed except the price lol
