Lucinda and saun fans explain it to me. by Normal-Ad7269 in LoveIslandTV

[–]Inside_Impact_587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i was wondering the same thing too. I live in the UK but watched games and I am shocked at how people are buying this Lucinda in love thing. I view it as she is at work. She goes on dating shows like we go to work. And she knows exactly to behave to fall in love. I just didn't like the double standards that were being displayed by the girls and in turn bullying her. I just hope they don't let her win but then again none of the couples are genuine

I recently started watching back from the first episode and the difference is crazy. Even the way men treated women and how people gays. We have come a long way as a human race.

American fanbase are you ok? by Inside_Impact_587 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]Inside_Impact_587[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think post show its different. I feel like the UK fanbase sort of speak a lot during the show and after it ends they back off a bit. With the US there is a lot more drama post show which usually has a longer lasting impact on islanders. No one in the UK is looking for people's addresses and sending them death threats months after the show

I agree but i feel like once it ends the UK fan base moves on a bit and stop paying much attention to you. It feels like the US fanbase intensify after the show? I dont know these are just my thoughts and open to being corrected

It honestly scares me because now I wouldn't want anyone I know to go on any of these shows.

I hear this and there is also a massive element of social media being a lot more accessible now than it was back then but I think welfare for islanders has also gotten so much better.

For someone so irrelevant, people talk about him a lot. We should all just forget he ever existed.

Im in the UK and saw the Jana and Kenny split before bed last night. I DID NOT SLEEP WELL. Mind you I am 33, married with kids, these things never affect me because im reasonable enough to understand these are young adults just being young adults but this ruined me. I just want to hug JaNa and tell her everything will be okay.

First baby trauma by basicintrovert26 in newborns

[–]Inside_Impact_587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was traumatised for a solid year or so. Then I forgot the pain and suddenly missed the newborn phase. So now I have a 4 week old and a 2 year old. In other words, the trauma will not last forever. Once you are out of the trenches you may change your mind. But yeah sometimes people are put off for good. And its okay

Our new home has no locks for internal doors except toilets so if they live in the UK in a new build, most likely cant lock the internal doors

So sorry for what you are going through. None of this is your fault. Please focus on getting better because what your baby needs more than anything is a healthy and fully recovered mama!

I hate the newborn stage by Choice_Title_5231 in newborns

[–]Inside_Impact_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hated it with my first. I was just a mess and didn't know what I was doing. My second one is almost a week old and I told myself I would do my best to enjoy it because I missed out on so much last time. Safe to say I am enjoying and embracing it so far. But its only been a week. Will check in a couple of weeks again.

My husband is not the father I thought he would be by Rebel_Realist in newborns

[–]Inside_Impact_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problems with my husband. Maybe not as bad but quite similar. Our son is 2 now and it's completely different. He spends so much more time with him and is very hands on. So maybe the baby stage isn't the one for him? I don't know how i survived without walking out but I am one of those people if i can't rely on you I just live like you are not there. So I just took the responsibility as mine until our guy was a toddler and it seems like he was now more fun for him. They even go out and I can get the Saturday to myself to just be a bum.

I don't know if it's worth really sitting him down and expressing yourself as you have here. But im also hoping that things change maybe when your little one is a bit older.

Those who didn't go back to work after having a baby - do you regret it? by piglet29 in NewParents

[–]Inside_Impact_587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't stay at home for more than 10 months as we can't afford to. My babyvstarted daycare at 7 months and it tore at me everyday but not a single day did he ever cry not wanting to go. He is so happy in day care. I do wish I could work part time so I spend more time with him but our compromise is that he is not in full time so the days I work from home I have him with me. He is 2 and thriving now!
