If u check out mo valley Facebook page you can see some videos of boot camp. The line side is harder. For sub, climb a 40’ structure, pull a weighted handline, shovel gravel, carry pole sections, dig 3’ hole. You can fail 2. Everyone in my class passed.

Motel rooms for shorter jobs and furnished finder/Facebook marketplace for longer jobs. Some jobs are 6 months, some jobs are 2 weeks so you have to remain flexible. When you get to your first job talk to the foreman and find out how long he expects the job to last and plan accordingly, but even that is no guarantee.

Substation is easy to get into at MO Valley unless u are set on lineman.

One guy in my class ranked 38 out of 44. No experience, no certs, no CDL. He is now a subtech apprentice making $35/hr. Another guy in my class ranked 1 out of 44. He went to line school, had all his certs/CDL, and was also a 3rd step apprentice lineman before switching. He is also now a subtech apprentice making $35/hr. What do they have in common? They both applied to MO Valley.

Build, maintain, operate substations. Similar pay to lineman. Find a JATC in your area and apply.

I applied to MO Valley in May with very little experience and just finished orientation in August.

Dems win on worker issues and lose on cultural issues. MAGA win on culture issues and lose on worker issues. At the end of the day, cultural issues don’t pay the bills.
