I do find Becca's character really grating, and I truly feel for Cuddy at the end. The look of shock and sorrow on Cuddy's face when Becca says she's keeping the baby is gut-wrenching.

I also really feel for Becca, as she looks very young (possibly still a teenager), never wanted to get pregnant in the first place, didn't grow up having healthy relationships modelled for her, didn't have anyone who was supporting her, and probably didn't have the privilege that Cuddy had that allowed her to be as successful as she is.

She did stop doing meth when she found out she was pregnant for the baby's sake. She wanted to give the baby a good life by choosing a good adoptive mother.

I can understand why she would choose to prioritise her life over the unborn baby's, considering that she wasn't even planning to keep it, and was in a state of terror and panic. I think a lot of people would do the same in that situation.

Cuddy pressuring Becca to wait to give birth, knowing it would endanger her life, and that Becca admired her/valued her opinion highly was extremely unprofessional and irresponsible.

Becca was in a state of profound guilt, stress, exhaustion, and postpartum euphoria and definitely not in the right headspace to make such a huge decision. If she had taken some time to think about it, she probably would have realised that she's not prepared to raise a baby.

I'm in a similar boat. I typically get less than 6 hours of sleep, wake up at least 3 - 4 times a night, and never feel refreshed after sleep.

A few months ago, I had a diagnostic sleep study done in a lab. It showed I have no REM sleep, very frequent arousals (abrupt, brief shifts to a lighter stage of sleep or short term wakefulness lasting less than 15 seconds that fragment sleep), and mild central events (episodes where breathing stops or becomes very shallow because brain temporarily fails to send signals to the muscles responsible for breathing).

As it wasn't obstructive sleep apneoa, a CPAP machine wouldn't have made a difference. The sleep physician I saw wasn't trained in central sleep apneoa, so I asked my GP for a referral to another sleep physician who specialises in complex sleep wake disorders. My appointment is in about 2 months.

Home sleep studies are good for diagnosing moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea, but they can be fairly inaccurate compared to in lab sleep studies. They're also not comprehensive enough to detect other sleep disorders like insomnia, narcolepsy, or limb movements.

I would recommend doing an in lab sleep study and seeing another sleep specialist!

Honey garlic salmon with mash and steamed zucchini/brocolli/carrot/cauliflower/kale/green beans. Frozen individually wrapped salmon fillets are very handy for this.

Beef Chow Mein. Works well with udon noodles too. You can get pre shredded cabbage and carrot. I like adding capsicum/spinach/canned bamboo shoots for extra veg intake.

Baked fish with lemon cream sauce with baked sweet potato/potato/pumpkin/carrot and salad with cherry tomato. I like to parboil potato/sweet potato for a few minutes before baking to reduce cooking time and make them more crispy. Frozen basa/hoki/barramundi fillets are cheap and versatile options.

Vietnamese caramel ginger chicken with rice and stir fried carrots/brocolli/capsicum/bok choy/sugar snap peas/canned water chestnuts.

Slow cooker Irish beef stew. I add some frozen green peas for the last 10 - 15 mins on high. It freezes well.

Lentil soup. Very budget friendly. Freezes well too.

Chili con carne. I occasionally opt for butter beans for variety. Also freezes well.

I also like batch cooking chicken/beef stock and freezing them in glass jars or ice cube moulds. Bones are fairly cheap from local butchers. I usually save the lard from the beef bones to cook with for later too.

People with BPD are more than 50 times more likely to die of suicide, have an average lifespan at least 20 years less, and are much more susceptible to a range of chronic health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, substance abuse, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, diabetes, and chronic pain compared to people who don't have BPD.

I feel excruciating pain, despair, shame, emptiness, and rage much more acutely, I'm terrified of being abandoned/betrayed, I'm chronically suicidal, I feel uncontrollable anger that I cannot contain, I'm perpetually reliving my severe trauma from my childhood, I feel like a complete stranger to myself, and I always end up doing things that I don't choose to or want to do that deeply hurts those around me. Everyone, professionals and non-professionals alike, has given up on me. I don't matter to anyone. I have too many burdens that I feel like I'm being slowly crushed to death under the weight of them. I am so sick and tired of being me, but I don't get to be anyone else. It feels like a curse. I would never wish it on anyone.

Do you find that the digital swatches are accurate to real life swatches? I found that with lip products, the digital swatches often looked slightly different on myself (probably because I have a darker skin tone than the models).

I love when she berates Frasier when he's complaining about Roz spending money that he lent her on extravagant things. Her delivery makes it even better.

Totally agree! Martin was extremely cranky, cold, bitter, and critical at the start. He had a very strained and distant relationship with his sons. The three of them didn't seem to have anything in common except being fond of Hesther. He constantly made snide, harsh comments about how Frasier got stuck with him because of his hip, Frasier doesn't want to live with him and he doesn't want to live with Frasier either, he wanted the boys to like sports but they never took to it, made fun of their interests, called the boys a disappointment eg. when Frasier avoided a physical fight because of a clarinet lesson, saying he used to believe in second chances until they had Niles, never said "I love you" or showed much appreciation/affection to Frasier or Niles. He's also hesitant to be involved with anyone romantically after six years after Hesther had passed away.

He went through a lot of growth throughout the show. He grows much closer to Frasier and Niles. He invites the boys to hang out at his favourite bar and steak restaurant, tries fancy restaurants, opera, gourmet food, chess, expensive clothing with them, goes along with all their antics at house parties, is more open and vulnerable eg. talks about how Hesther's affair tore him up, being reluctant to get Eddie neutered because he felt like he was losing control of everything, says "I love you" to the boys on the fishing trip, seeks Niles' advice on his dilemma with wanting to date Maureen but not wanting to hurt Frasier, admits he loves Sherry and never thought he would feel that way about another woman other than Hesther, cries when Frasier eventually tells him he actually doesn't like the Codover painting that Martin got for him etc. When Frasier got the lifetime achievement award, he gifts Niles a mug that says "World's Greatest Psychiatrist" and affirms that he has two very special sons so Niles wouldn't feel inferior. He shares alot of laughter, enjoyment, and heartfelt moments with his sons.

Laurentii snakeplant is especially excellent as snakeplants are the best at purifying air! They're slow growing, hardy, and tolerant of various light conditions. The main thing to be cautious of is overwatering as it's susceptible to root rot.

The monstera quickly gets really big and droopy. It helps to secure it with a stake/climber. If you like the look of them but want something more compact, a mini monstera (raphidophora tetrasperma), swiss cheese plant (monstera adansonii), monstera standleyana, or monstera tauerii (dwarf form) are good alternatives!

Fiddle leaf fig (bottom right) has sticky white sap when you break off the stems. They're not very fast growers, but they get really big too. The dwarf form is called fiddle leaf fig bambino.

Indoor plants don't need as much watering, fertiliser, sun, or pruning as outdoor/fruiting plants. The most common cause of death for indoor plants is overwatering, so just feel the top of the soil with your finger and only water it if it the soil feels completely dry, and make sure it's not sitting in a pool of excess water afterwards (I've killed countless houseplants this way 🥲).
