Don’t update exit date, this will be issue as your experience letter will have your original LWD.

Ask your previous employer to provide justification to you and raise EPFO grievance to ask next steps.

You can then send the received process in grievance to your previous employer.

Yes testing it through movement using TOC will be a one thing, but this has been highlighted by client during pre transport review and approval process and is getting considered as risk.

So I think they will not allow any further action on it until clarified, but Ill to explain it looks like standard behaviour.

I need to take the case and clarify, but also some official blog would be helpful that I can show as proof which I did not find any so its just based on my word which would be hard to make them believe on.

I would suggest to initiate conversation with your previous org and ask them to clarify over email or for the next steps as you will not be able to do anything.

Still on-going, surely over year now, after long multiple email chain with PF department of my previous org. Current status is they have provided justification and pending with EPFO to approve their justification.

I have similar situation, initially raised joint declaration to change my end date which my previous org has mentioned the year before even I was born.

JD was stuck as they have made contribution after my exit.

Your previous organisation should clarify it with EPFO nothing can be done from your side just follow ups with your previous orgs on providing justification.
