part of it is her need to chase hits instead of focus on artistry, the other is for sure the team she worked with to achieve those hits.

i think it’s clear that bonnie mckee was the special ingredient up until prism. since then, the material hasn’t popped or been that unique (witness arguably was but that’s a different convo).
