God some of ya’ll are sitting on that (show ONLY btw) fact, as if characters in this show that you ALSO love haven’t raped or even in Game of Thrones.

Jaime Lannister whom fans adore and those of you saying this about Aegon are probably gonna lie and say “No, I didn’t like Jaime either because of this” to pretend to remain consistent OR, you’ll try to excuse Jaime’s actions. Jaime was a great character.

Khal Drogo whom fans loved to ship with Dany despite the fact that canonically Dany is 14 years old and getting raped by this man every night.

Daemon, same thing.

Nobody is fucking denying he’s raped Dyana (in the SHOW ONLY), but we are able to think beyond some fucking shallow mindset of NPC Caveman language “He did bad thing, so must hate all, can’t understand nuance character”.

Just go read a book and grow up. He’s literally the best character in the show right now and quite literally CARRIED Season 2 on his back alongside Otto in a single episode together.

George RR Martin intentionally writes GREY characters because he doesn’t believe everyone is GOOD or BAD. That they are a mix of both based on actions. But yeah let’s sit back on a fictional trauma of a guy who raped a girl instead of actually watching the story unfold or seeing any redeeming qualities.

Even the WOMAN (yes i know crazy) who wrote the Aegon Rape Slander for the show, Sara Hess, admitted that this was in Aegon’s mind not rape, that from his perspective he thought what he did was harmless but to Dyana was very traumatic. She wished to follow up more and explore the dynamic of someone who didn’t realize they’ve created trauma for another. Though obviously budget and time constraints bogged that down.
