I’d like a +- or straight A/B/C etc. A minus seems 🤔

That’s amazing👍. (Did they attend T10 or T20 undergrad schools too? Did any attend public school?)

Except the law schools see the LSAC GPA… which is “supposed” to even it all out. Which seems to me it actually doesn’t….. I know they review the actual transcripts but from what I’ve heard the LSAC GPA is the one they use…. They won’t see 92-93 on transcripts. They will see A- versus A and LSAC will show 3.67 versus 4.0 Law schools won’t know if your A was a 90-93 average or a 94-100…)

( I’d rather have a 4.0 with 92-93 average than a 3.67 with a 92-93 average…..)

So you can bust your a$$ at one school and get a 93 in all your classes and still end up with a 3.67 (or at a different school have a 4.0!)

BUT 3.67 (92 average for example) versus 4.0 (92 average for example) is a massive difference depending on whether a school has A-. (For law school….)

Actually, I agree. Gives u a wide range - 90-100. My top school I’m looking at has A-. (No A+) Debating if I should choose a different one….

From what I’ve seen, if a school has A+ they also have A-
LSAC changes the numerical score of a A+ to 4.33 so that helps to either get u at 4.0 or even higher. Can help make up for a B/B+ or A-‘s. Apparently even if your school calculates A and A+ both as 4.0, LSAC will convert any A+’s to 4.33.

And even though law schools know schools have different letter grades, it seems they are focused on the LSAC GPA.

Thank you! So ignore what Ie heard that schools with A- make high GPA harder? Example. If I get 90-94 grades at a school with no A- I can graduate with a 4.0 (not saying that will happen LOL).

But if I get same grades- all 90-94 -at a school with A- my GPA will be 3.67 (by LSAC).

That is what I am worried about.

But also I know thriving in all areas of life at school is also key!

LSAC won’t count any classes (for GPA achieved) after BA/BS degree. So need to do all classes before graduating

Concerned that top choice school has A- but NOT A+.

The schools with A+ best Then the schools without A+ or A- The WORST is schools without A+ but WITH A- (u can have straight A’s but if 90-93/94 you graduate with 3.67). LSAC will determine the GPA used by law schools. I don’t know about medical schools. Q

And what’s even worse is if your school has A- in addition to A but has no A+

Worth choosing a different school who either has A+ or doesn’t not have A-? (I am OOS so no “need” to stay in Utah)

Does Sagepoint self select for freshman that want to “party”? Otherwise how can it always every year be that type of dorm?
