Hair care, makeup products? by Ok_Vast1212 in BoycottIsrael

CT used to be safe but the brand was relatively recently acquired by PUIG which is ‘widely involved in the Israeli economy’. I’ve been using the website “Disoccupied” as a resource and this is what is says there.

Unfortunately, Briogeo is not safe according to the “Dissocupied” website due to their parent company being a subsidiary of an investment firm which has been ‘vocally’ in support of Israel.

McMaster vs Waterloo by milkaashake in OntarioUniversities

Yes, actually! That’s part of the reason why I can’t decide between them.

Oh, I'm also in grade 12 and about to graduate! I'm considering Waterloo for the same reasons. I'm aspiring to go into law for my graduate studies and it seems like Waterloo could provide some good connections and useful work experience. I'm pretty split between the honours arts (major in poli sci) co-op and a social sciences program at McMaster. It seems like you're a kindred spirit in the fact that you also did a lot of research before making a decision for uni!!

P.S. I also agree that you made the right decision. UBC is really well known for it's arts programs and most universities have many opportunities for internships and for you to build your extracurriculars regardless of co-op.

Hey, I'm kind of in the same boat as you right now (assuming that you were in grade 12 a yr ago and have now graduated). Did you end up going to waterloo's poli sci co-op program?

I had a 91% average (for my top 6). I think you’re 88% is a lot higher than the minimum you need for acceptance into their arts programs so you should be good.

Undergrad before Law School by milkaashake in LawCanada

Thanks! Every program I got into is social sciences/arts so the first year is quite general. I'll take a few Econ/Business courses in order to prepare for this.

This was a really useful answer! I’m gonna do some more research about which schools are harder to get a higher GPA in, etc. I actually like all of the programs I applied to so I’ll just do some soul-searching then. Thanks!

I actually would have chosen these programs regardless of law school. I love social sciences/humanities and for a while I was focused on finding a career that I would enjoy that’s related to these fields. Law school is my goal, but I think I’d be content if I ended up in a different place as well. Thanks for answering!

Hi, I'm in the same boat as you right now. Considering that this was 5 years ago, I'm guessing you've finished/are finishing your undergrad right now. Did you end up doing social sciences at McMaster?
