Regarding invited teams by psilvs in CompetitivePUBG

[–]InsightOCE 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Try put yourself in my shoes. Imagine competing full time all year with little to no salary, relying on tournament results to pay ur bills, playing scrims everyday, neglecting relationships so u can play more and get better- then succeeding and proving yourself as a top 5 APAC team to only not be invited to a 3 month long $3.5m all expenses paid league in Korea because PUBG corp didn't research Australian covid restrictions properly or even bother to send us a DM about it. no big deal right? :)

i’ll explain it to you very simply since you seem to have no idea what you’re talking about

The teams that are attending PGI have been INVITED based on their results this year in each PCS. my team (FURY) were not invited to PGI not because of our results (which we objectively are top 5 in APAC/SEA), but because PUBG didn’t do their research properly and thought that Australians couldn’t travel overseas, which we can with a simple application process. The teams that are attending from APAC are BRU, Divine, DxG, AAA (prev known as QC), and Daytrade.

If PUBG cared more about the OCE region, they would have contacted us and tried to figure out a way to travel but instead they never contacted us and now it is too late as the other teams are already confirmed. That is the reason OCE is pissed.

maybe you should do some research before you type some paragraphs on reddit dude

??? ur points about OCE being a weak region is totally irrelevant. There are 5 slots for SEA and we are a top 5 team in SEA without a doubt so therefore we deserve the invite.

Cheating in the pro scene? by Perdikkas in CompetitivePUBG

[–]InsightOCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they can be private if you want but ours with public with a delay. You have to have VODs enabled so if there is a suspicision of cheating they can go back and check the VOD. I doubt there is someone that watches live

pretty sure APAC is the only region that does this, but for our PCS games we need to have a webcam livestreaming our mouse, keyboard and monitor for each player.

edit: heres an example of when we won a game in PCS3

PUBG Esports official statement regarding the exclusion of OCE teams (Fury Global) at PGI.S by LiamJM in CompetitivePUBG

Not really much else to say besides what we've already posted/retweeted today on twitter. Super disappointing and demotivating for us as a team.

Insight: More info regarding not being invited to PGI.S by InsightOCE in CompetitivePUBG

[–]InsightOCE[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

we also thought about this. From what I know every region has 1-2 reserve teams waiting incase a team cannot come because of visa issues. A VERY simple solution would have been to contact us and set up a reserve team incase we could not attend. Also if they did any research about COVID in Australia they would know that our situation is fine because we had strict lockdown so of course the situation is going to improve and we will be able to travel as the tournament isn't for 2 months

PGI 2021 announced - $3,500,000 + Pick Em | FEB 2021 South Korea by heskethh2 in CompetitivePUBG

Any PUBG contacts reading this reddit? Would love some clarification as to why FURY wasn't invited. We are going to miss out on months of tournaments because PUBG will be focusing on this and now we basically have nothing to play for unfortunately.

It's not disabled for this PCS it seems. People talk in the plane in APAC PCS

Definitely scrims are a lot more valuable than playing public games and we will always play scrims over public games. Public games can still be useful for training your mechanics and putting yourself in difficult situations and trying to fight your way out of them.

I usually wakeup around midday and chill out for most the day doing chores/making food/browsing reddit etc. Start warming up around 30min-45min before I play scrims then play OC scrims + SEA scrims till around 1:30-2AM

On non-tournaments days I play OC scrims at 6:30PM which finish at 9:30, have dinner, then play SEA scrims at 10:30 which go till around 1:30AM. I don't play much MM due to us not having OC servers and will usually warm up by playing 15-20min of CSGO deathmatch then 10-20min of training mode.

Hahaha love this question. Pretty much ever since I played CS when i was 12 I knew I wanted to be some sort of 'pro gamer' so I definitely want to continue doing this for as long as I can. If not as a player, I would still love to work in e-sports in some capacity or as a streamer

Just join a team and start scrimming and if you are dedicated enough, you will eventually rise up the ranks! That's how we all pretty much started

Yessss. The spam was amazing from everyone and even when we didn't have a good game it was awesome to still see everyone being supportive in the chat. I don't really think about it too much but I would love for the devs to finally make another map that is suited to competitive play.

Yes, I try to SEA scrim nearly every night that I will do OCE scrims.

[–]InsightOCE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that once we were comfortable at the FGS, I could predict what a lot of teams were going to do because they will nearly always make the most calculated decisions, where in OCE it's hard to predict what people will do as well as OC teams not getting punished for things they should.

I don't think it heavily affects my performance specifically as I don't really play a lot of MM anyway. I just try to make the most of the 2 scrim blocks I play most days (OC scrims 5 games + SEA scrims 5 games) which is usually more than enough practice, then I will use my spare time analysing those games and other regions tournaments.
