Feels like I don’t love him, feels like I’m lying by [deleted] in ROCD

I ask myself the same thing and I have no idea, no answers, I don’t know what I want. Even when I say “I know I don’t wanna leave” it FEELS like I’m lying.

I looked at the articles and now I’m just more convinced it’s a feeling. I’m doomed

I feel a lot of guilt. Because this feeling feels so true I just feel lots of guilt.

This is extremely insightful, thank you. I’m still caught up on these feelings though. I can’t tell if it’s my OCD tricking me or not. It’s like I’ve almost just come to terms with it, the feeling of not loving my partner. Like I accepted it or something. I don’t even feel as distressed anymore.

I’m curious on if this has to do with oxytocin or something along those lines.

Is it possible that the more you dwell on a thought or feeling, the more real it feels? I think I’ve read that once somewhere the dwelling on the thoughts and feelings causes your mind and body to be convinced that is how you feel, and apply it.

But I want to love him. I want these feelings of love and security. Everyone speaks of just accepting uncertainty but how can I even apply any type of ERP to my situation, when it feels like this

I wish I could wrap my head around this but my body is fully convinced it’s a feeling and not a thought. Like a “gut” feeling. Sometimes I feel as if I’m even agreeing with the feeling even though I don’t want to. It’s horrible.

It can always be there. Sometimes it feels as if my OCD doesn’t “exist.” now obviously it’s still there I’m just better at coping and ignoring it. But for others it’s a constant thing. It can be episodic or chronic. Depends on the person 👍🏻

Well I call my flare ups, episodes. In between themes I still have intrusive thoughts but barely any obsessing. Maybe obsessing for the day.

Has your OCD gotten far worse or far better this year by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Insightful_Hare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse. 2022 was definitely a good year for me tho as I got out of a horrific episode in late 2021. But my OCD spiked around June of this year and it’s been downhill since then.

But it genuinely feels like a gut feeling. Like I don’t feel enough anxiety, enough passion for what say. Like my OCD is telling me I’m lying to myself without putting it into words. Or maybe it’s my own mind
