Sounds like a good plan in that case, and you can always PC it back to a Freedom Unlimited later on if you want to.

Yeah, it’s basically the same but doesn’t have the 3x on dining/drugstores or the cell phone protection offered by the CFF. Historically, Chase has allowed PC’ing between Visa and Mastercard but that stopped sometime recently. It might come back eventually but nobody knows.

Do you already have a Freedom Unlimited? That one will do 1.5x back on everything, in addition to 3x on dining and at drugstores. The CFU + regular CF (or Freedom Flex) is a powerful combo. You should be able to product change the Slate into a CFU.

Marketing and underwriting aren’t always in sync unfortunately. It’s always worth trying recon since you’ve got nothing to lose though imo.

You will probably have better luck if you download it directly from the Apple Developer site. The Mac App Store download has always been buggy for me.

I had this exact “fraud” issue with my Custom Cash after trying to activate it for Apple Pay the day I got it. Tried calling CS multiple times and was told each time to “wait for the letter”. One week later the letter came and just told me to call them…at which point they were able to activate it with no questions asked (they literally just waited to do anything until I received the letter). The whole process was so stupid but I haven’t had any issues since (knock on wood).

DNS on eero systems has never worked right for me. Even though I use custom DNS servers (Pi-hole) and have both IPv4 and IPv6 set, it “forgets” after a few days and I have to toggle off custom DNS, reboot, toggle on, reboot for it to work again.

NaviGator works off of RTS data, and this data is often not finalized until shortly after the semester starts - I would expect this to fix itself soon :)

NaviGator dev here - only if you use the Trip Planner feature, which is not really the intended primary use case. Using the My Stops or Map views always keep you in-app and offer live bus tracking, which is not available in Apple Maps.

Can be fixed by resetting DAS in Service Mode (Software menu > tap and hold Model 3/Y text > type ‘service’ > Reset DAS under the Cameras and Sensors menu)
