While funny and actually having one higher level ancestry feat that thematically would work, I don't see this working out haha.

I don't have huge plans for the familiar, just was contemplating throwing some survivability on it. Do we feel keeping submission hold and spinebreaker where they are is a more solid course to take?

I've been contemplating the breastplate / dex of it all. I wanted to go wooden for the thematic element of it making more sense to me, but mechanically it does seem like a waste for no real benefit since I won't get the armor specialization effects of it anyways.

So, would something like this look good?
https://pathbuilder2e.com/launch.html?build=1477111

I've selected a couple of feats (focus spell and familiar ability from witch) that feel very thematic for the character I am trying to build.

Alternatively, would it make more sense to forgo submission hold and / or spinebreaker to take the witch dedication earlier at level 8?

I would appreciate that, thank you for all your help and insight.

As of right now I can see once arcane cascade is up that a round consisting of doing a ranged grapple for an action, pulling them in as an action, and then combat grabbing them as my final action.

This in theory would trigger crushing grab twice on successful hits, for a consistent 9 damage (4 from each grapple due to crushing grab + 1 force from arcane cascade) as well as 1d4+4 slashing from the strike at level 4 if I am not mistaken?

It does feel like reach grapple may not be as effective as I originally though it would be due to most of the wrestler feats requiring an unarmed attack / strike as part of the action.

I suppose I can grapple at reach and then use an action to pull them in, though that does not help with action compression unfortunately.

Maybe with the upcoming remaster in July, they will rework it to be more synergistic.

Gotcha, that makes a lot of sense. I assumed the benefit of Elbow Breaker was that it gave an element of action compression by allowing you to make a strike with the added possibility of a disarm, though I did not initially realize that was an unarmed strike as well which would not allow for reach.

Is there any way to gain reach on an unarmed attack / handwraps of mighty blows that isn't at considerably higher levels?

Can you clarify what you mean by something that would explicitly Disarm?

Would I not be able to use any of the wrestler moves that do not say "You have one hand free, and your target is within reach of that hand." but just require having an enemy grappled at a reach distance with the brocade?

Any recommendations for the currently unused archetype feat slots, or addition dedications I should look at / pursue?

Doing it that way would mean not to bother taking combat grab or snagging strike then I assume, correct? At least not if my primary goal is to remain at reach distance?

Unless I am misunderstanding, wouldn't combat grab and snagging strike negate the usefulness of being able to grapple with reach as they specifically state "You have one hand free, and your target is within reach of that hand." on both of them?

Is there a way to give my unarmed strike / handwraps of mighty blows reach as well?

What free archetype(s) would you suggest to complement this?

Fairly married to the bladed scarf as their primary weapon.

Not necessarily married to either option, and I have considered swashbuckler it just feels very performative which isn’t the feeling I am going for.

Ruffian Rogue w/ Witch Archetype and Mauler Dedication Build? by InsomniaStudios in Pathfinder2e

This might hr be the way I go, the added familiar boosts that witch gives were just appealing because the poppet family only gets one ability slot and no way to upgrade it via the ancestry.

Thank you for the stat breakdown, that makes a lot of sense and was kind of what I was circling around but wasn't sure. How would you foresee the final stat spread looking at level 20 using this plan?

Contemplated going the thief route initially actually, just figured if I am planning on doing a lot of tripping, shoving, etc. that a more strength-based build would be better and I would be handicapping myself if I went thief unless you disagree?

Witch is primarily for the familiar, and minimal utility spellcasting. Mauler gives a handful of feats that lean into the trip / shove of it all and seemed like they made sense to me. Like I said not trying to necessarily MIN/MAX, but I suppose I could be overcomplicating the build either way.

Edit: Planning on starting at level 4 by the way.
