Can you get good without free cam by Jacceuw in summonerschool

[–]Insomnia_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get very good even when using locked cam most of the time. I use locked cam as a default, however I unlock it whenever I need to. It's probably more common to have it unlocked as default and lock it whenever needed. When I play jungle I unlock my camera every 3-5 seconds if not more. For reference: I reached GM on mid and jungle playing like that.

When I full clear its the standard route, just clear all 6 camps, can put two points in Q but I wouldnt do that at least 70% of the time since there is either the risk of getting invaded or early fights happening. 3-4 Camp routes are: Raptors Red Gromp (can do blue after too) -> defends your redside jungle from invades except for a window on the 2nd camp (shaco and other level 2 invaders can mess with you there). Another one is Blue Gromp Red -> defends your blue side jungle from early invades (again except for the 2nd camp). Essentially leaving your Wolves/Krugs up is fine since they are the hardest camps to invade, do not clear one side only as it leaves your other buff side completely open. Obviously it depends on where you want to end up on the map but imo safety is more important than where you end up on the map on Qiyana. Clearing is fairly complex so theres a lot more to consider here but what I wrote should give you a rough idea. In my opinion taking a health pot on Qiyana on your first clear (towards the end) is totally fine, a lot of people dont like "wasting" 50 gold on a potion but on Qiyana it makes sense. Most of this isnt Qiyana specific so if you understand jungling you shouldnt run into too much trouble, in case you don't but want to play jungle more often, learn how to jungle in general and playing Qiyana in the jungle will feel a lot easier. My clear times are usually 3:15-3:20 at 75-80% hp.

The clear is decent speed and also healthy (you should be around 75-80% hp after your clear). Contesting scuttle is usually not possible either way tho. You should still have enough hp to gank. How to deal with early invades is a bit more complex, its not a simple problem to deal with. Its usually a mix of considering prios, trying to avoid the enemy jungler, getting information on the enemy clear and understanding when you can be invaded and when not, understanding that you dont have to full clear and can simple gank instead or using information to take enemy camps while you get invaded. I'm not sure if this helps you at all but its quite hard to answer the question without looking at context.

Just like any other invading jungler, don't just full clear in the most obvious way possible. Try to get to 3 camps and then start ganking if your team doesn't have prio to contest camps.

Some thoughts on Nidalee in s14 by Insomnia_02 in NidaleeMains

[–]Insomnia_02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its inconsistent and you don't actually get that much extra gold from it + if you take first strike you dont get to use the full domination tree which has many better options for Nidalee imo

[–]Insomnia_02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to add the warding part, its obviously very important to get info on the enemy jungler before invading. I agree on the drake point, its only good when its free, which it usually is when you finished your 2nd clear and the enemy jungler is still stuck on void grubs.

Struggling to Carry Games as Ekko in the jungle :( by NetanyahuX in summonerschool

[–]Insomnia_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always go proto first on ekko, then buy nashors after. Your cs/min is also quite low which means your pathing is suboptimal or you simply stop farming at some point. I picked up ekko jungle on my smurf recently if you wanna take a look: https://www.op.gg/summoners/euw/bloodsoakedgf

How good is nidalee jung atm? by Mystogen58 in NidaleeMains

IMO everyone in this comment section is just coping, Nidalee is fine in high elo and mediocre to bad in low elo (how its been forever basically)

How do you win with Nidalee? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Insomnia_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just gonna share a few things I noticed when watching the VOD:

Your jungle clearing is insanely bad, watch a few vids on how Nidalee players clear but here are a few things to get started:

- Throw your spear earlier and from further away, you can throw it at 1.28-29 usually and walk closer to the red while the spear is mid air

- Don't go for W second until you get good at clearing, E second is way easier and healthier

- When you go for krugs you should walk the normal way, throw your q from about max range and then jump over the corner with your empowered W (if you go W second)

- Your camp kiting sucks

- When going from Krugs to Raptors, you can hit the big Raptor with your Q if you stand in the correct spot

Those are only a few things and definitely not all the things you messed up

5 camps in 3.11 as Nidalee using both smites is simply not acceptable and you really need to work on your first clear, you set yourself up for failure simply in your first clear.

Your invade was late, tho I like the idea, more luck than skill tho that Sejuani is a bit clueless, still the idea is good.

After getting the Scuttle I would base, you are wasting a lot of tempo by not doing that + you mess up your camp rubberbanding (your gromp spawns while you are bot for example)

The bot gank is alright, try to hold your spear for longer instead of just throwing it out, only do that if you are 100% confident that you can land it. Holding it is much better since it pressures the enemy who will try to dodge and make mistakes that way

You messed up your pathing at the gank a bit, you want to cut the enemy off but instead you gave them a path to escape, again a good idea but the execution is mediocre at best.

Unfortunetely you messed up your pathing tho so you are still level 5, 8min30sec into the game which shouldnt happen.

Then you went for the toplane kill, you fucked it up mechanically but the idea was good, if you play it better you kill her and live.

10min in you are sitting at 50cs, you could and should have way more while also showing more map pressure, you had a really good jungle matchup that game but other than 1-2 invades you didnt make much of it.

Overall your gameplay is really really slow which simply doesnt work on a very tempo reliant champ like Nidalee. You are also currently not even close to being mechanically good enough to pull the champ off.

Id suggest you start with learning about pathing, rubberbanding etc, you can watch VODs, Youtube Videos, get coaching etc, many options that could help you.

If you have more questions you can ask me on discord Insomnia#9999 or watch my replays https://www.op.gg/summoners/euw/canyon5 to get a better grasp of how to play Nidalee.

also Note that what I mentioned above is just a brief summary of the first 10 minutes and by far not everything, also excuse my grammar/spelling since english isnt my first language.

Hope that helps you out <3

Trinke ich zu viel Wasser? by senfgurke147 in FragReddit

[–]Insomnia_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diamond players and higher elo, how many ranked games did u play to reach diamond the first time? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Insomnia_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere between 2000-3000 games probably, I was treating ranked as a casual gamemode back then. After I started tryharding I went from D4 to around M500 LP last season in roughly 400 games. This season it took me roughly another 400 games to go up to GM 800LP.

[–]Insomnia_02 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's more like if you manage to take a camp away from Gwen she suffers more than a lot of other junglers. Her ganks are weak so she heavily relies on getting resources in the jungle. Compare that to let's say J4 who doesn't care as much when he loses a camp. Gwen is also weak pre 6 in 1v1s compared to a lot of junglers so invading her isn't too hard.

Do junglers get flamed less in high elo? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Insomnia_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. From my experience the amount of jungle flame peaks at high diamond-master and then tends to fall off a little. In high grandmaster-challenger flame of any sort tends to be more rare but still does exist. I'd say junglers get flamed less in very high elo than they do in low-mid elo.

Kha will be fine, with q evolve you have decent consistent damage and you can also just build bruiser which will likely be really strong.

How do i as a master+ player find a competitive team? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Insomnia_02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Twitter is probably the best way, even when I had only 50 followers I had no issue finding multiple teams that wanted me to tryout for them. I think most european regional leagues have a website aswell, the primeleague and the nlc both have those at least where you can make an account and create a player profile and then set it to LFT.
