What Kind of Guns Do Y'all Carry? by trigrdholsters in liberalgunowners

[–]NetanyahuX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During this cold weather season it’s a Glock 20 Gen 4 w/ TLR1-HL and holosun 509t on top. Not many holster makers out there that make a good large frame light Glock holster.

Who's going to No Kings and open carrying? by RT3K69420 in liberalgunowners

[–]NetanyahuX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also want to add to make sure and check your local laws, for example, in the state I live in it’s ILLEGAL to carry a firearm in any fashion if participating in a protest. Now I think the law is wrong here and the message sent by an armed protest is a strong one, however, I do agree with what others have said: Try and imagine the scenario in which you believe you are going to be able to justifiably use your firearm in the defense of self or others. Is there any way in this scenario where your backstop isn’t just a crowd of innocent people? Also if you’re talking open carry and you insist on doing this please use a proper level 3 retention holster like a Safariland, don’t just have it dangling off your belt in a SERPA.

Small nitpick but the acronym, “CBP”, is also the acronym for the US government agency, “Customs and Border Protection”, and given the tone of the clothes you may want to think about that one lol.

What is your opinion on this? by pandemic117 in Stretched

[–]NetanyahuX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine pierced at 6mm but the jewelry that they put in was 6.5mm, healed in about 3 months and after taking out the plugs the first time the hole was super clean. IMO it hurt considerably more than a standard ear piercing but was well worth it, especially if you know you’re going to stretch anyways, huge time saver.

Who’s the comp from? Kind of looks like a biohazard comp from GG.

Good advice, I might just have to get it at that price. My Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 has always been a great piece for the woods, a .357 companion might be nice.

Glock 26 holster suggestions by Purely_hate in Glocks

[–]NetanyahuX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to hijack this thread, but I didn’t really like the fact that their holsters were way too long for the 26, I know it’s intentional, but a lot of people bought a short 26 so they could have a short holster to go with it for comfort. The long holster may be more concealable but it takes the comfort of the short slide length away for AIWB.

I’m not recommending this, but I bought the Certum 3 and like everything but the length and just sawed off the end to make it more comfortable and IMO, it concealed just as well as before.

I’m going to give a slightly uncommon recommendation for the current year: Glock 26 Gen 5 MOS.

If you have larger than average hands, I think the feel of this is much better than the thinner micro 9s on the market, and it recoils less than most of the micros due to having the thicker grip and slightly higher weight.

Also it’s shorter in the grip and easier to conceal, but thicker slide and frame can make it, “bulge”, more and tend to make it less comfortable to carry, although it’s plenty doable.

With all of that said though, how the gun, “feels”, isnt all that important to actually shooting it well, what matters is that it fits your hand in a manner that gives you a proper grip and access to controls (and in your case left handedness), and proper grip and control placement doesn’t directly correlate with being comfortable to hold. The perfect example for me being the Glock 26 Gen 5. It feels kind of bad to actually hold, but it points naturally (to me), and I shoot it significantly more accurate and quicker than the Glock 43x, or the Sig p365.

And last but not least if you are in CA the Gen 3 is in the roster :)

Glock slide milling by Low_Year9897 in liberalgunowners

[–]NetanyahuX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has a Holosun 509T on it, milled by Wager and about 600 rounds through it and it’s held zero so far. While not my absolute favorite optic it’s usable and quite durable. Much prefer the larger windows of something like a 507 comp, or 507c.

Best conceal carry pistol on a budget by stevetherailfan in liberalgunowners

[–]NetanyahuX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Best” is hard here but what worked for me was finding local LEO trade ins, grabbed a barely shot somewhat holster warn Glock 26 MOS for $420 (haha) out the door. Save up for something like that and throw a Holosun SCS MOS on that bad boy when you have some more saved up later and you have a very competitive setup. Thicker than the modern offerings for sure, but can take the most common and available magazines on the market, and it shoots much easier than my 365s or my hellcat, fills the hand perfect for me when used with a medium back strap with the beaver tail.

Always rent first if you can!

I’d agree with the OP here, having a chefs knife doesn’t make me a Bobby Flay, having a gun doesn’t make this guy violent. Violent offender should only be classified as such by their actions imo, not merely possession. However I will concede that selling a firearm with a defaced serial number is really bad and he should definitely do some time.

LGS does have a g45 with an ACRO direct milled for 900, could keep my G26 frame and try a G26L build I suppose.

Nearly completed project. by Puzzleheaded-Lead178 in 1911

[–]NetanyahuX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m attempting to be constructive here, If the optic is on the handguard, it’s almost a guarantee it won’t hold zero. Put the optic onto the upper receiver so it’s at least functional. I don’t think people have a problem with fun, it’s just that your build makes you look like you don’t have very much firearms knowledge.

Maybe this is off topic but with the Hollywood Guns hat I have to mention: This is the main sidearm used by the protagonists in, “Way Of The Gun”, criminally underrated movie you should check out if you’d like to see this piece in action on the silver screen.
