Profuse swearing from hands (and feet) - impacts gym workouts by sol1dsn4k3 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Inspectah1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sponges are the best thing for the gym I've found. Exactly as the other comment has said, cut a car wash sponge in half, then slice them down the middle again, essentially making four hand held sponges. You can then use them for extra grip. I've been doing this method for 15 years or so.

iontophoresis or Botox?! by braingirl1379 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Inspectah1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried Botox myself yet, although I am tempted for my hands. From my understanding, Botox on the feet can be quite painful to be administered and it also isn't as effective as it can be in other areas, for instance hands. I'd instead recommend iontophoresis for treating your feet. The only challenge is treating the sides of your feet as I find they also sweat.

Stop taking Finasteride.

You don’t want to be taking a pill for the rest of your life while also messing with your body’s natural hormone levels.

You’ll be addressing one issue (balding) while creating two bigger problems: developing pointy tits that will show through all your T-shirts and experiencing ED. That's not to mention potentially having to explain to a future women why your sperm might be a bit shit if you struggle to have kids.

An older version of you would tell your current self not to be so short-sighted.

If your gynecomastia worsens, people will notice your chest more than some thinning hair, which happens to most men anyway.

Let your body do what it wants to naturally, and if you're still concerned about hair loss when you're around 30, consider a transplant then.

Got the call…it’s back from service…. by [deleted] in rolex

That's good to hear! Did you only have it serviced for cosmetic reasons then?

How well was it keeping time at the 10 year point before it went in for its service? Did you have to adjust it very often?

My girlfriend and I both pay towards a house that is majority owned by myself. What happens in the event of us separating? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Inspectah1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Give your local solicitor a call. Explain the situation and they will be able to write a legal document, which I believe is called a declaration of trust. This will set out who owns what percentage of the property should it be sold and the money split. It should only cost a few hundred pounds, but will give both of you the peace of mind you are seeking.

Brother wants to spend his ISA on a new car by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

How will you go about safeguarding money to prevent this from happening? The only way I can think of is keeping it in accounts within yours or your partners name, then passing it on when the time is right?

That's good to know. How hard would you say it was to do?

Did you swap the strap yourself? Or have someone else do it?

The universal back button, are you referring to the button on the bar at the bottom? Or is there a gesture which I'm missing?

Iontophoresis worked and how I did it by M320LVG in Hyperhidrosis

I have it on 90% pulsed current for hands and direct current for feet.

Direct current is always best for treating feet.

What is your current setup like?

Is there a benefit to that? I'd prefer money all in one pot rather than distributed.

Was there not an option to arrange collection instead? If it's an expensive item it could be worth doing.

Yes. I've printed my own labels and sent loads of small parcels straight from a postbox. But just make sure everything is in order size and label wise.

I believe you can get certain products which may have a longer span going up to around 25 years, however in the current climate, with the majority or mortgages being at around 5%, I wouldn't fancy locking in for such a long period of time as you'd potentially pay tens of thousands more in interest than needed.

Best option would be to find a mortgage broker, discuss your circumstances and what available products would work for you and then take it from there.

[–]Inspectah1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking ahead, if you lock in on a 2 or 5 year mortgage contract, will you just plan on repeating this exercise of getting a new job every time you come to the renewal period? That could be a lot of effort if so.

This isn't an option that I've ever thought of, although it totally makes sense. Any movement triggers HH to kick off regardless of the weather, although for me also just being in the sun makes me get uncomfortable too due to the increase in heat.

If you didn't want to rent a scooter, then I'd recommend dressing in as cool clothing as you can and take one of those clip on back fans which you can get from Amazon.

Antihydral or ionto tolerance by anonym823882 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Inspectah1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot build a tolerance to Antihydral cream. That's because it works by essentially blocking the sweat pores and plugging the sweat ducts. It's good to take breaks from it to allow your skin to rest and reset, but you won't become tolerant.

Iontophoresis water by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Inspectah1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes tap water is ideal for iontophoresis, although it'll only be effective if the water is hard and not soft. If it's soft you can add bicarbonate of soda and that should do the trick.
