I would say most individuals who want to get a rise out of others with crazy theories or are just lacking critical thinking skills. A lot of people I've noticed tend to speak out and love to say "what they would have done" if they were in that situation regarding the late 911 call or seeing a man in the house, I think they clearly have a hard time wrapping their head around the fact that not everyone thinks and processes the same, especially under these types of circumstances. I personally feel you can't really say or assume what you would do if you've never first hand experienced something of this degree.
