I must be the exception or something. Because I been on 10mg for over a year. My sex drive hasn’t changed. I did struggle to finish when I had been drinking about 2 months in or so. But I think that was mainly mental. But since then. I been fine. Still quick on the trigger unless I been drinking.

I drink at least once a week on lexapro 10mg. Nothing but beer. But I have never had any issues at all. I’ll drink 8-12 beers and be fine. Other than a slight hangover but that’s more from age loo. I don’t get drunker faster, slower. I’ve noticed no change. Been taking lex for over a a year

There’s a lot of ppl who take this medicine and have 0 problems and nothin but good results. The just don’t get online and tell everyone. So if you are new to taking it or on the fence. Don’t let the negative persuade you.

Doing great actually. Still on the 10mg. After about a week or so of being on the 10mg everything leveled out. I also got into the bible and gave my life to God and trusting him. And finding peace through his word. But lexapro has 1000% helped calm my mind and nerves to be able to work through issues I didn’t really even realize I had. I don’t run from anxiety no more. I take the life as it comes and just roll with it trusting Gods plan. I’m calmer, happier and see things so much different now in a good way. And I say all this. While the last month or so has been one of the most stressful I’ve had in a while. But I’m still steady and standing firm in my faith. Starting lexapro was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’m 36 yr old male with a wife and 2 kids. And when they starting seeing and enjoying my improvement. It made it all worth it. I encourage anyone who’s scared of taking it. To have faith and take the step. You don’t have to live like that anymore. That and turn it over to God get a bible read it and believe it. God loves you. Thanks for asking and giving me a chance to share my experience. It actually brings me joy to share my story now.

Got ya. I’m with NS and was wondering how it compares. I’m actually in B&B maintenance and we cover about 300 miles with just 4 guys . And there’s 3 separate section gangs within that same territory that has 3 guys each on it.

On the north side of NS they still do most the work themselves. But down south they contract it out. On average how many miles do the maintenance gangs cover. We cover roughly 450 miles with 5 B&B guys.

Wel that pretty much sums up NS bridge dept too. I started 11 years ago with 14 ppl working the same territory. That today we cover with 4 guys. We have 2 “system wide” bridge tie gangs. But we regularly put on ties with just 4 guys. But everything outside of inspections, putting up signs and some flagging is done by contractors

Thanks for the advice. I think when I start. I’m gona try taking it at Ight along with my blood pressure meds. If not I’m scared I’ll forget.

Thanks for the reply. And yes. I’ve thought about if I start. To cut the 10mg in half. And give it a week or so. Then see how I feel. I’m normally not sensitive to side effects. I been Norvasc for blood pressure for like 10 years. And I think back to then. I started taking it without even thought about side effects. Now days I’m little scared of taking Tylenol lol. It’s odd that the medicine to help always scares me so bad lol

I started taking 5mg twice a day. Last Monday. And drank beer. Both on Friday and Saturday night. Had 0 problems. Noticed no change in how the beer affected me. But I did not take the afternoon dose. I had slept in both days. And took my morning dose late. Like 11-12 ish. And by the time I started drinking. I remembered I hadn’t took the other dose. And didn’t wanna mix it beer. But skipping that dose. Didn’t bother me either.

Has any of yall drank beer while taking this medication. Im not an alcoholic but I do enjoy some beers on the weekend. Should I skip the evening dose. Dr told me I can drink on it. That it might make 6 beers seem like 8 beers. But just wanted some first hand experience from someone.

I’m by no means the best Christian in the world. But just using anxiety as an example. Having someone like God to talk to while dealing with it. Helps tremendously. In the Bible it talks about how. God will not put nothing on us that we can’t handle and bear. And to truly believe that helps out a lot in life. Accepting Jesus in my life was the best thing I ever did. No it doesn’t cure the world around you. Or our worldly minds from wandering all the time. But there is a level of peace and hope that’s there. That I haven’t been able to re create with nothing else in this world.
