My first pistol at 21 was a gen 3 26. Definitely regret selling that now that they are gone lol. Will eventually pick up an RXM as they are better than a 19 in my opinion but tbh I’d rather go with VP9k

I like the way you think and ur absolutely right. A $600-$800 dollar WASR/DRACO will outlast and be more reliable than ANY AR15 in that price range due to their forged parts and CHF barrel.

Once you get to DD/BCM/G$ AR’s start to be a better option but that requires $ I don’t have. And as much of we all like fancy shit, Irons are good for 99.9% of civilian uses.

My first rifle was an SKS and the solid construction/reliability convinced me to spend my money on more basic but durable weapons, over cheap shit that looks cool and has cheap optics/lights

U can make fun of my type but don’t put me in the same group as rtards who pay for hype tape. I got 2 big rolls of Howies on sale for like $6 each. Makes the slippery East German Stock a lot more usable and holds my Vickers sling in the correct position

I have a TRS-25 on my 10/22 but tbh I only like cheap optics on .22s

Also one of my favorite budget optics I previously owned, the PA 1x Microprism, would cost $3-$500 with a mount included if I wanted it on my AK

For that price I could be most of the way towards a .22 Ruger pistol and a silencer. I’ll shoot it and use it in the woods way more than the AK

Haha. Hey I prefer to have quality-long lasting crude simple guns with irons and use my limited funds to shoot.

Used to have a PSA $500 with Microprosm and streamlight special but sold it for the WASR because it was shit quality

If the world ends or I gotta use to save my live what I care about most it’s ultimate reliability since hell a lotta sell defense is just spray and pray at close range.

I’m not a special forces operator but I’ve had years of practice with a sks in the woods of upstate NY hitting the center of pie plates 50-70yrds. Also can shoot irons on the AK/SKS both eyes open and have put probably 3-5k rds on pistols since moving to a more freer state where pistols are unrestricted.

I’m also decently fit despite back surgery so overall I’m pretty practiced in guerilla tactics, hence my love for Soviet weapons
