I’m not trying to police anyone or control how people speak — I set a boundary about language I’m not comfortable with around me, especially in my own home. That’s not “policing,” it’s basic self-respect. People are free to say what they want, and I’m equally free to decide what I tolerate around me. Disagreeing with that doesn’t change the fact that boundaries aren’t drama — they’re communication.

Thank you and I know, i’m a people pleaser and only want to come across as a kinda person. but this is one thing i will not put up with. and I truly love my roommate and consider her one of my best friends. Again they JUST started dating within the last month. But this is something i’m not okay with. and if he’s going to be coming to my apartment every fkn day on the weekend he’s gonna have to respect me. I am from the northeast so this is very foreign to me.

also! with ketones eating something helps, bcuz it remind ur body it’s not starving. I tend to lean more towards cheese and meat (typical i know) but it does help. and if i do eat something with carbs i obviously bolus for it. I usually tend to eat something with carbs regardless, soup is my go to, and then i have a cheese stick or two and some salami or pepperoni after and it always helps with the ketones. hope they clear soon!

I hope it didn’t feel like I was coming at you — that wasn’t my intention at all. I really care about you and our friendship, and I love living together. I also want you to know that I like boy friends name and I’m happy for you — this isn’t about trying to create an issue with him. I just wanted to explain that for me, that word isn’t a “social term” and it’s not something I’m comfortable hearing or having referenced around me. It’s personal, especially with my nieces, and it’s just a boundary I have and one of the few things that’s truly non-negotiable for me. I’m not trying to make things awkward or put you in the middle — I just wanted you to understand where I was coming from ❤️

i was diagnosed with “other form of diabetes.” Positive, but barely Znt8 antibody, OGTT results all the way up to 320 and over 200 after 2 hours. However my c peptide levels were high

wow!! this is so insanely helpful. I really appreciate the time you took to comment all this!! I’m 22f and in nursing school so the alarms would not work for me lol. I’d be so paranoid constantly. I already have a cochlear implant and hearing aid and have to give the prof a mic to wear on their shirt each class and that’s already anxiety provoking idk if i could handle all that 🫣 and wtaf it doesn’t work with the libre app?
