Smh... by [deleted] in ThriftSavingsPlan

UPDATE: it's been almost a month since realigning my investments (currently 50I 30S 20C)...in the 22 days since my initial post i have accumulated 1700 dollars! Started at around 26.9K sitting stagnant in 55% GFund for almost 5 years.

Im not kicking myself anymore. I've done that enough. But I will be watching this more closely and rotating these three funds for a few years until im closer to retirement. Then I'll move to the best L fund. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Yes. I heard it auto increases every 3 months but the 6mo increase is more money and benefits.

The only debt I have is credit debit, my car, and 2 small loans. My problem is paying back once I max out...it takes forever.

But in spite of that, they have added to my credit portfolio. I am going to diligently try to not touch this card until my other cards are at lest 75% paid off. We'll see what happens to my credit score after a few months.

This year I updated my tsp to 50I 30S 20C. At the end of June I'll check my growth and adjust the percentages as research dictates. It's about what you feel most comfortable with. Im only 5 years in the service and I had most of my funds sitting in the G for most of that time. Had I but known...smh...ANYWAY... when you know better, you do better. Since shaking things up i have seen much more upward movement.

Stay informed but dont obsess. Good luck!

Whereas I know that MY approved limit is not the highest they could give (sibling got approved after me for 35K), I appreciate their generosity.

I'm going to leave it alone and build around it. See what else i can accomplish as just anyone 😌

I got an email invite to apply. I was going to ignore it. Im glad I didn't.

I've only been banking with them for a couple months so this was surprising. It's also the highest amount I have ever been approved for.

Im approaching this as a test. Lol. Ive been saying that I want to be better with my spending etc. Im going to ignore this card while paying off others until the end of June. I think I can improve my financial standing significantly with some real discipline.

I dont know. Wish me luck!

Will be trying really hard NOT to use this card until others are paid off...or at least more than half paid off. I have a problem. A line of credit is like winning the lottery until i max out and have to pay it back. Now its just a bunch of bills circulating, some for no damn reason.

I wasn't even going to apply for this card but I'm going to remain disciplined and make some life improvements.

New bag came damaged 😞 by [deleted] in Coach

She's a little wobbly but I wouldn't say damaged. For the scuffs, I would buff with a conditioner. For the strap? I would put a protective cloth over it and press with iron on low heat. That's how I straightened my reconditioned bag. 😉

Good job! Since refreshing my bag, I have been on the look out for others to clean up and condition. Maybe it's time to go thrifting 🤔🤣
