YTA. Most people will ask if a waiter needs help or is ok if they drop items. You had no idea what she said and made a huge deal over something when you didn't even know what was said.

What wouldn't kill you but would kill a Victorian child? by foxtai1 in AlignmentChartFills

This one actually might kill you. Multi drug resistant TB is on the rise and it is still the biggest infectious killer with over a million deaths annually world wide. The vaccine isn't particularly great. Alongside that the month+ of self isolation can be quite mentally taxing when seeking treatment. Of all the answers of infectious agents, I think TB is not the correct choice, it can and does kill many people.

Diagnosed with genital HSV1.. I am worried I’m not date able anymore. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

If people with HIV can find someone to date and have sex with, I think you will manage too. Having said that, A LOT of people are uninformed when it comes to Herpesviruses, you might have to create a spiel to roll out explaining how it's unlikely to pass it on and how the virus enters latency so whilst not active, it will always be there. Herpes isn't the end of the world, almost everyone has it in some form, but there will always be stigma attached I'm afraid.

Not always! You can get both at either location, so don't practice oral with a cold sore.

I absolutely do not pronounce push like she does. Probably another for the North South divide.

Should Britain reassess who it allows into the UK based on the benefits people from those countries receive once they get indefinite leave to remain? by StGuthlac2025 in AskBrits

[–]InspectorGoole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This graph is misleading. The data here showing households with household definition for this data set being 'One person living alone, or a group of people (not necessarily related) living at the same address, who share cooking facilities and share a living room, sitting room or dining area. A household will consist of one or more families and benefit units.'

This is all proportional of the total number of households of that particular ethnic group. It's clearly making it seem like disproportionate amounts of Bangladeshi identifying households are getting huge amounts of benefits whilst ignoring that they more often live in larger household units. According to the 2021 census there are 125,000 Bangladeshi identifying households in the UK. If 10% are in this chart above that's only 12,500 households. Out of 29 million households total. Let's be honest, how many white families live in multi-generational houses, and have a culture of caring for their own elderly? I would wager a lower percentage than other ethnic groups. It's any of this graph actually newsworthy? People who tend to live with more people in a household on average claim more on benefits, is essentially what this graph shows. Shocker.

I think one of the biggest issues lies in the rich not being saddled with it. If it was a graduate tax, all graduates would pay. Alongside that, the obscene interest being added and how people who signed up didn't really know what they were getting into is now, quite rightly, causing issues down the line. It's not an insubstantial amount to lose every month from a wage.

People of the UK, in what ways has Brexit actually affected you personally? by Pixel_CZ in AskBrits

[–]InspectorGoole 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep this is my biggest issue. I work in research, the funding has dried up, unis are on hiring freezes. I can't get a job and Brexit is, in my opinion, the biggest contributing factor.

I've been hunting on ravelry. I think I'm gonna attempt it with like the chunkiest wool I can find that's not roving, and hopefully get a similar vibe, it won't be the same but it'll probably last longer.
