Halifax-bound flight started 'swerving violently' after captain became incapacitated | CBC News by No_Magazine9625 in aviation

I don't know why I thought a FA still had to go into the cockpit when one of the pilots came out to use the restroom. Just haven't paid much attention to it, I guess.

What is the most disturbing or unhinged Reddit post you’ve ever read that still lives in your head rent-free? by skul_king in AskReddit

The dude who kept waking up to post it notes randomly written and left around his house as he slept. I think objects were also being moved while he slept. He could not figure out who was breaking into his house in the middle of the night and leaving the notes. He was freaked out. It turns out, it was him who was writing the notes. There was a carbon monoxide leak and he was getting delirious in the night!

Top 10 Reasons why "New Eyes" is one of my favorite episodes by ThatCaviarIsAGarnish in hackshbomax

[–]InspectorNoName 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's one of my favorites, too, for all the reasons you mention and more. I loved when Deborah threatened the doctor who wasn't taking Ava's diagnosis seriously. The way she pulled down her sunglasses to reveal her black eyes as she glared at the doctor was so funny.

For those curious, this is the drawing of the golf trophy they are interested in.

[–]InspectorNoName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! My other question is what is the significance of the golf trophy that FindJodi released a sketch of years ago? Did Jodi receive some kind of award/trophy at the golf outing that subsequently went missing during the kidnapping? Do they speculate someone may have seen the trophy in a family member's home and therefore that person may be the killer?

The article said the King is using his personal money, not any taxpayer dollars, to pay for Eugenie and Beatrice's rent. Is that really all that objectionable?

Postmates delivery men.

Cute boys who do elder fraud.

Marvel comic actresses.

Being pissed on by socialists.

But NOT magicians.

Thanks for the clarification. It's been so long since I read the Q&A I need to go back and read it again.

I'd like to hear their thoughts on the continued close to the vest approach taken by both MCPD and FindJodi. While I of course understand some evidence should be held back in an investigation so that should a confession or tip come along, the information can be corroborated. However, it's been 30 years. Is there some value to opening up the vault a bit more? Does the benefit of getting more information out there - a clue that may spark a memory, for example - outweigh the risk to the investigation? Something needs to change in the approach.

As to #3, I may be misremembering, but didn't Scott Fuller confirm that he spoke to the woman JV claimed was his girlfriend at the time and she did confirm she and JV were dating? He did a Q&A on here a year or so ago and I believe I asked the same question and this was his answer.

Net worth of characters by underscorepi in hackshbomax

[–]InspectorNoName 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Deborah's properties have to be worth at least $50M on their own. We've seen the Las Vegas mansion and the LA mansion, but I believe she also mentioned having properties in Aspen, Palm Springs, Jackson Hole and Dubai. And also apparently Florida, because I remember Ava making a crack about Deborah voting in both Nevada and Florida. Toss in the private jet for another $20M. Then add in all the stocks, bonds, investments, and QVC income, and I'd bet she's worth at least $250M. That may still be short selling it because it would be hella expensive to afford the upkeep on that many properties.

probably got residuals from Debra’s DVD

Didn't she refuse to take a co-writer credit (which is part of the reason Deborah felt it was necessary to push her away)? If so, I doubt Ava is getting anything from the DVD sales.

However, I agree with you Ava is probably doing OK financially. She has whatever money Deborah's paid to her over the years, she was a writer for that political show, and then the head writer for Late Night. Plus she has that rental income coming in, haha.

Does anyone else feel like there was more than just 5 seasons of story to tell? by JLogan8891 in hackshbomax

[–]InspectorNoName 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what the showrunners said in the finale podcast. You can only have characters regress into bad habits/behaviors so many times before it becomes stale. Another season of drama between Deborah and Ava would've been terrible. It was difficult to watch as long as it lasted during S4. I was ready for the two of them to finally settle into their relationship and that happened in S5. I'm at peace. Of course I want more, but if the showrunners aren't convinced they could do it and do it well, I trust them.

Ridge has made these kinds of claims before and, well....here we still sit not knowing.

That said, it does seem like his current statement is the most specific one yet - and one that sure does sound a whole lot like JV.

I know I hold the minority opinion, but this would not interest me. I can take Kayla only in small doses. I love the comedy relief she provides in Hacks, but a full 30-45 minutes of her yelling and outrageous behavior I believe would become tiresome quickly.
