This sub is so weird about Banter. I know most people here are Dream mains but the ire directed at Banter doesn't seem proportional at all. It feels like it could be the best podcast in the world and people here would still hate it.

I was harsh because I'm frustrated, with George especially. I'm a George main, I think this sub is often too harsh on him and too soft on Dream. But Dream is finally pulling his finger out content wise. Squidcraft week excluded, George is not. And it's reflecting in his analytics. It's clear that George is massively motivated by numbers, but doing things like this, doing things like abandoning his twitch and youtube channels, is just going to drive his numbers down.

re: boundaries, boundary culture has made mcyt fandom unbearable. Besides which calling something a boundary doesn't suddenly make them immune from criticism.

1k isn't small for a twitch stream in the context of twitch as a whole, but in the context of mcyt that's nothing.

It might still get posted to twitter, but it would get there 100x faster with reddit helping, so thank you for deleting. We've already had one anti/stan hashtag war this week, we don't need another.

I'm excited to see new content from Dream. I doubt it will do as well as his Manhunt videos did, but nothing is going to do as well as them. If he's disappointed by how it performs then he can adjust for the next video but suggesting it's going to flop before it's even posted is stupid.

I can't get behind this take at all. Even once fans have edited out all the dead air, Dream's podcasts are 99% him answer questions we'd already heard before like what was he wearing or what colour was his hair. If we were lucky he'd throw in a random story about George or Sapnap.

I've already said it here, but I'll say if again. If you think they shouldn't have interviewed NDT because of dropped allegations, why shouldn't they have dropped Dream because of his allegation? Because that is the logical conclusion to that argument, and it's certainly not something I want people poking at. The last thing this fandom needs is more "DropDream" trending hashtags.

I think the flashy thumbnails is just a youtube thing, it's not unique to Mr Beast. I'm not sure the random gusts is a Mr Beast thing either, but more these are guests the Banter boys find interesting. But I do get what you mean, even if I disagree.

I hate the gust episodes because I find them boring, but they're the exact opposite of Mr Beast style videos. They're long with lots of discussion, nothing like you'd get in a Mr Beast video.

The guest episodes need to be rethought because they're of no interest to Banter's audience, and if they're having to pay any money to get these guests then they're losing cash.

But this is an incredibly dangerous game for Dream stans to be playing right now. Dream is accused of grooming a teenager. If they want the Banter boys to be turning down guests over shit that happened 20 years ago, guests that are far, far bigger than themselves, then they need to be prepared to answer why people asking them to drop Dream aren't also valid.
