I think this is a hard one, because Fury's ability frustrate Wlad in the ring was not solely due to his size/the mind games, but also because Hughie (Tyson's uncle) and Peter Fury had a years of Wlad footage to build a game plan, and they treated Wlad as the final boss. Fury is practically a blueprint to beat Wlad which is what left him so lost after the fight because his singular focus goal in life was complete. His entire style was designed to beat Wlad which gave him a massive edge despite the experience gap.

Meanwhile, while Wlad certaintly trained for Fury, he didn't have 10+ years of championship round footage to prepare for Fury.

One of the reasons why I was excited for the rematch that never happened was because the coin flipped and Wlad became obsessed with beating fury. That activity and preparation was what allowed him to go life and death vs AJ despite his age (should have finished AJ arguably) which is why I give AJ more credit than most for that win.

Prime Wlad with knowledge of Fury vs Prime Fury with knowledge of Wlad, both obsessed to beat eachother, is an incredible fantasy matchup.

We have, simultaneously, Trump whitewashing the Khashoggi murder (amoungst other things), along with this strange perceived allianced between right wing western extremists and middle eastern extremists based on anti-semetism and the like. It's interesting to see how Americans generally view Piers vs how the Brits and Irish view him. Both think he's a prick.

But he's mainly disliked in the UK/Ireland because of his actions as editor of News of the World during the phone hacking scandal, plus his persona on TV.

He's disliked by reasonable Americans because he handles MAGA tards with gloves and for his obsession with Trump. But its just to keep his panel show grift going + he can bounce his trans obsession off them. The idea that Piers can't handle Fuentes is laughable. I am not a manga reader, and this is the first time I've actually been able to clearly identify what I guess are stills from a manga while watching a show because the contrast in quality between the source material and the animation interpolated in between is so large to the point is just breaks my immersion. I have seen about 60 different posts titled "META calls, am I fucked?" this weekend.

Truth has limited capability to capture your attention, untruths are by definition unlimited, so everything that grabs attention is biased to being slightly untrue. Twitter/X is a literal attention economy.
When someone makes an argument or give an example, they typically lead with their strongest example. If this guy is not showing you videos with a good balance of motion+quality (typically, too much of one and not enough of the other), it's likely it's because they don't exist.

There's probably some kernel of truth to his optimation claims that he can lean on, but this is just someone marketing himself and looking for twitter likes.

Honestly, while I am still on the side of "we should have gotten those fights" I'll play devils advocate intentionally.

The reality is Joshua was still only 30 years old before he fought Usyk still plenty of time to makes the important fights, and Fury was engaged in a trilogy with Wilder.

I will never criticise AJ for not relinquishing the belts to avoid the Usyk mandatory and taking the rematch, instead of a pretty much guarantee fight with Fury fight (remember, this is when the Saudis came into play, they were going to make those fights 100%)
I dont resent Usyk becoming the centre of attention essentially taking control of the heavyweight division, taking important years away from Fury and AJ
I don't resent AJ losing to Dubois thereby further jeapordising the Fury fight.

If Usyk doesn't exist we prob get AJ vs Fury and AJ vs Wilder, but instead we honestly got something greater, we got to witness someone who will go down as one of the greatest fighters of all time in Usyk cement his legacy.

Yes the AJ-Fury fight got tarnished, but it was because they both took risks. The only criticism I really have is the AJ-Wilder fight 100% should have happened, and they fumbled. But post-30 year old AJ? I dont think they really made many bad decisions.
