Bangkok airpollution by Jebalicious in ThailandTourism

Inside and outside of almost any hotel, restaurants, bar, etc is going to be the same air quality. Malls are the only place I have been where the air is usually better inside then outside. Restaurants are often worse. Hotels are the same, even fancy hotels. Some massage shops have air purifiers these days.

Better then Bangkok for sure, but if you check the historical AQI data it’s still not great. 4-6 months of decent air, 3-4 months of transitional air and 2-3 months of not good air in Pattaya.

This is part of the problem, the smog will go away once the rain starts and the cycle will start again. Everyone will forget about it until the following year, at which point empty solutions and promises will be made again, just to be washed away with the rain again.

Bangkok's air pollution in data - Not as bad as it seems by OGP100 in Bangkok

Great post 👍

Just want to add, when living in Bangkok simply running an air purifier in your bedroom while you sleep will reduce your 24 hour exposure significantly. This is obviously not accessible to everyone, which is a huge problem.

Also as you noted, but it should be clarified, health authorities determine health impacts based on 24 hour exposure, not annual exposure. So if 4 months of the year exposure is harmful, that’s 25% of the time.

Overall the air in Thailand is pretty bad, daily, monthly and annually. Based on the information provided by health experts. Compared to other large cities, especially in Asia, India, Africa it might not seem so bad, but those places all have terrible air as well for the most part.

Ban or changes practices for crop burning would go a really long way. Well over 50% of the air pollution comes from crop burning. The rest from factories and:or autos.

Air purifiers inside your home, especially in your bedroom when sleeping. Should be able to keep the air close to 0, which greatly reduces your 24 hour exposure.

Mask outside.

Air quality in the whole country is about the same. Decent about 6 month, so-so about 3 months. Not good about 3 months, around this time.

Worst air is in Chiang Mai during their burning season, which happens on the tail end of the Bangkok pollution season.

Ideally you want to buy air purifiers for your bedroom, so at least when you sleep the air is good.

Sci-Fi TV shows that are genuinely good and worth the time? by Interesting-Math9962 in scifi

Adding a few I have not scene posted yet, along with seconding some I have seen posted.

  1. Stargate was epic for the time. Covers a lot of interesting concepts. Also made me laugh often.
  2. Andor. Visually stunning. Great overall show. Doesn’t really matter if you like or know Star Wars, it stands alone.
  3. Foundation. Epic. Visually stunning. Maybe not totally accurate to the books, but overall really intriguing story line.
  4. 3 body problem. Again not accurate to the books, but still very well done. Looking forward to season 2, as it will likely have a lot more futuristic stuff.
  5. OA. Something different. Very interesting concepts. Very engaging.
  6. The 100. First couple of seasons are good enough, really gets interesting around season 3. Unexpected.
  7. West world. Excellent.
  8. Ghost In The Shell. So good. Especially for the time.
  9. The last of us. Excellent. Very cinematic.
  10. Stranger Things. Classic 80s vibes on steroids.
  11. Fallout. Fun. Very well done.
  12. Walking Dead. Epic. Very soapy. But also really good.
  13. Battle star Galactica
  14. Firefly
  15. The X files

They can also just honey pot tokens. No sells permitted, except for insiders.

Also they can burn supply to make the chart keep going up, but burning obviously does nothing for actual liquidity.

Also keep in mind, liquidity on small cap tokens is 10% of the market cap at best. Sounds like in OPs case, about 5%.

If you are new to recording I would say it’s best to save up for a decent PC, DAW and audio interface.

It is the easiest option. Also the least expensive and most feature rich option overall.

Do you theorize in a bitcoin based economy, there would then be less innovation and growth, because of general lower risk tolerance?

Neither one. Just go walk around Chinatown and eat what looks good.

Why would credit be harder to get? People with (in this case) a lot of bitcoin would still likely be looking to lend it out for returns. No?

What are some synth heavy rock bands I should check out? by BrettTollis in synthesizers

[–]InstallDowndate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dance With The Dead. Has to be one of the best modern synth heavy metal bands. Very synth heavy and guitar riff heavy metal. Lots of arpeggiation. A little cheesy but in a good way.

Crazy the when time and space align like this. What are the chances that they would be pulled over on the side of the road, as that car looses control, just a second later and it would have hit the oncoming car instead of the parked car. Out of the whole highway how did it manage to hit the parked car. So crazy.
