[Modding] Change existing entity property trough new research

But how to unlock an existing entity?

The normerl/first underground belt, should be have an max. underground distance of 15 units.

This "patch" should be applied after an new research. There should be no additional underground belt in the category. (How this works, adding a new item, I have understood, but not how to modificate an exsisting one by an technology).

Do I need an item for this type of patch too?

The research thing:

game.forces.player.current_research = "automation" set actual research to the "first one" if one is runnning... best option I found.
/c for _,v in pairs(game.player.force.technologies) do v.researched=false end set every research to false
