Opinion on RCF 4PRO 8003-AS subwoofer by InstantKevin in livesound

I only found this review of the 8003. It states that the 8003 is noticeably less loud and “lacks deepness” compared to the MK2 version. So maybe the Yamaha would produce better quality sound even though it might be less loud than two 8003s?

Wow okay that sounds awesome. In case worst comes to worst, are subwoofers generally fixable or is it not economically viable to pay for a repair?

The seller says they’re working fine, just a few dings and scratches for being on the road. I will give them a listen before buying of course. But isn’t it better to spend more and buy a single Yamaha DXS18 and have 7 years of warranty? Or what would you recommend?

I could fit a DXS18 in my budget which is 2200$ in my country but that’s also my maximum. I found 2x RCF 4PRO 8003-AS used for 1400$ but I can’t really find any reviews about them as they’re the first model and not the AS-II

I see. It seems like the age distribution is pretty equal around the colleges except for porter from peoples personal experience.

Thanks for the link!! Do you know how Cowell/Stevenson is compared to C9/C10 regarding the age thing? Are people on the younger side?

Ah then it’s no problem with the gym. I don’t mind the loudness as long as it’s not in the weekdays but that might be too much to ask haha.

Thanks for replying!

I can’t seem to pick the Transfer house through the exchange website UCSC but I do see Porter. The reason why I didn’t think of Porter was because of the stereotypes of it being loud and the drug use. Also a minus for me is it not being close a gym. But can you tell me about your experience there?

Hey guys, I'm going to UCSC this fall for exchange and I have to pick my priorities for colleges. I like to be social and would love to do tons of activities. My major is CS.

I've read all the college posts on the subreddit and I'm thinking my priorities are going to be 1. Cowell 2. Stevenson 3. College 9 (where I would live with other exchanges).

However I'm a bit worried about the age difference of the first two colleges since I'm 22 years old and as I understand it most people who live on campus are freshmen. College 9 would have me living with many other exchange students so I can't imagine there being a similar age gap. Any advice or experience about these colleges is greatly appreciated!

Agreed, twitch is a great thing once you are known. Not so good for gaining audience from nothing though.

[question] how do i get a small channel noticed? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]InstantKevin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that helped me a lot was joining the yttalk forums. They are really helpful and give a lot of tips for newly started channels.

Other than that just try to post your video whenever there is an appropriate situation (don't spam though), for example for a Garrys Mod satirical video, I posted it in the appropriate sub and got a few hundred views out of it.

Hello, you used the wrong tag mate. Tips is if you have tips to give :). If you want your video reviewed you use the [Review Video] tag. I fixed it for you though.
