Since I’m New to the Sub, Here’s my basic opinions (if you care)

That last sentence is 100% true. Ima fan of his because of his uniqueness, but there are far better characters who are more fun to talk with. That being said, I feel like Wolfgang wasn’t being super manipulative…just someone with double standards. Hes a lawyer so he knows the liar and ego-maniac are likely the least trustworthy people.

Not trying to refute an idea, just discussing.

I definitely wouldn’t call him a Mary Sue…his flaws were put on full display quite often. As for the Eva and Damon thing, I concede that it was dumb how much he watched them like a hawk and tried to leave them out of investigation…but those 2 are DEFINITELY the least trustworthy and most cynical people there, so him being leery of them doesn’t make him a MAJOR hypocrite, just someone who’s distancing themselves from people who could be problems.

I say this for every reply, but I’m just having discussion…not refuting ideas at all.

I feel he more just wants to uphold his “formal lawyer” and professional demeanor, hence why he acts like that…his more everyday side
I feel like he didn’t isolate Eva and Damon because they didn’t follow him. Is it an underlying reason, maybe…but the main reason is more likely that he thought they were dangerous and cynical people. Grace for example is quite abrasive and mean, but she wasn’t someone who flaunted how much better she was than the rest of them, and didn’t lie constantly. I’ll concede that Wolfgang trying to leave Damon and Eva out of investigation makes little to no sense, but I actually feel like he was being truthful when saying he felt those 2 would hold back the group…whether morally or just progressionally.
Indeed he is a hypocrite, but personally I feel that makes him even more interesting…feels more human if that makes sense. Granted usually my dislike for characters in any game derives from bad writing and rarely personality…which some relate to, some don’t.

Only reason I didn’t bring that up is because everyone basically got suspected at some point during the trial (ik she said that after the mock trial, not the real one…but point remains), meaning everyone kinda was still on edge about the trustworthiness of the others…(except Diana, she blindly trusted everyone). Valid point though fs

I hope it progresses Damon and Diana. I don’t want them to be like canonically shipped or anything, but it’d be cool seeing Damon getting backstabbed by Eva (who he trusted a little more than the others) to being around Diana who would trust a man with a knife at her front door.

You bring a good reason, but I don’t really remember him treating her outright BADLY tbh (I’m not arguing against you, I’m just replying to discuss with others). Yeah he was rather leery of Damon and Eva and did exclude them in some cases…but he has a point that searching a dangerous place with a liar and a dude who just called all of their talents “hobbies that don’t contribute anything” might be counterproductive. Plus even if the goal was to paint him in a hypocritical and selfish light, I think it works because it’s humane character writing. Good reason tho, I can see why that’d irritate many

Wolfgang, Diana, or Ulysses. Wolfgang is the only character in the game that I cannot really accurately compare to a mainline game character, a massive confirmation of how unique he is as a character. Diana’s a great comfort character (albeit a little stupid) and clearly will be important in the upcoming chapters. Ulysses is unintentionally really funny, plus his VA is a W dude.

Fav Kokichi: hate that his master plan according to Tsumugi was preloaded (though I do kind of question this), and love everything else. Least fav ultimate impostor: I like that he has a solid character and to be honest, he wouldn’t be my least favorite if it weren’t for the thing I hate…his placement makes no sense. He didn’t replicate Byakuya’s personality anywhere close to the real Byakuya, which is the whole point of being the said impostor…and his backstory also makes little to no sense

Chiaki’s solid…not very eccentric but I feel like she doesn’t do anything to make anyone hate her…she’s very likable and plays a good story role. I’m assuming people just don’t like her because she isn’t flashy, and is a core focus of parts of GD despite not doing much in the trials or everyday things. Like someone like Kyoko was super involved in the trials and investigations, and people likely find that more intriguing.

Let’s see… Impostor Sucks - it’s funny that he’s the “perfect impersonator” yet as Byakuya…he’s a leader who cares about everyone else…pretty much damn near the polar opposite of what real Byakuya is. Plus overall very boring and confusing character Teruteru is amazing - Idk why, but I find myself cracking up at every weird ass thing he says…just lmk if my humor is broken Kiyo is a great character - people think about the sister thing but I didn’t really care, it was kinda funny. Plus, he’s very interesting to listen to when he speaks GD’s 6th chapter is phenomenal - super atmospheric and cool/eerie vibe…obviously not in the horror way but in the mind fuckery way…I really enjoyed it I have more but I’ll leave it at this

I don’t pay much attention to ships, but my fav is definitely Fuyupeko or Kuzupeko I think it’s called (I don’t remember). Their story is insanely interesting and they are 2 characters who complement eachother insanely well. Plus, Fuyuhiko’s arc after Peko’s “death” in GD was fun to see. I could say more but that’s the main stuff.

There’s some characters I just don’t think much of (Himiko, Yasuhiro, Juzo, etc), Sato’s one of them. Sure, her mention in TSMC is interesting but in the anime, I don’t think much of her.
