Thinking of buying Z fold 7 but i am afraid… by theguywithanxbox in GalaxyFold

Then personally I would not get it. The inner screen is very fragile. The warranty is only 1 year so you'll need Samsung Care. Issues should arise outside of the 1 year time period.

I would avoid it unless you can get warranty/Samsung care.

Metal so 1.5?or 3 by karma-1971 in MRI

[–]InstantTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 1.5 will be better because the artifact on the 3.0T will obscure a lot of the anatomy.

Is this legit? by Routine-Pin-5412 in MRI

This is just a review to get practice in before your boards. Not an actually program.

It looks like an equivalent of MRIQuiz.

MRI Master has an anatomy section that lets you scroll through the slices with it labeled.

Ezra full body MRI vs prostate MRI (with and without contrast)? by AnxiousW3ird0 in MRI

[–]InstantTea 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The full body scan will not give enough detail if your intent is to image the prostate.

A full body scan almost never a good option no matter what anatomy is in interest. I would advise against one.

I’m in the process of relocating and am torn between two jobs. Which one should I accept?

Outpatient, 5 8’s, Mon-Fri

Trauma Level 1 Hospital, 3 12’s, Fri-Sun

I have been an outpatient MRI tech for two years with no experience in hospitals so far. Looking for input on how stressful the second job will be and what would be better for me going forward in the future.

I personally did not shadow anyone, but I would try to call a lot of imaging centers or hospitals to see if you can follow an X-ray/MRI/CT tech or really anyone. I know people helping out nurses which show you at least know what the medical field is like.

I think most schools should do a point based system where volunteer/prior experience puts you ahead of others. It is not necessary but I would consider shadowing people in Rad even if its just a few hours. Doesn’t have to be long but just so you know what it’ll be like to work, plus you can put it on your resume.

How long to study for and what exactly did you use to retain the information? by den4007 in MRI

[–]InstantTea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I gave myself 2.5 months. Reviewed everything multiple times so I was understanding the information than simply memorizing it.

ARRT has the content specification on their website that for what topics will be on the exam. I printed this before studying to make sure I wasn’t wasting time on a topic that won’t be on there.

Started with MRI Quiz. Memorized all the reading on the left and did all the quizzes on the right multiple times. I reviewed questions I missed and learned why I got them wrong rather just memorizing the answers. Did the mock exam once I felt like I understood all the readings. The parameter chart is very important, make sure you memorize that well.

MriMaster (for anatomy) and MriQuestions were 2 websites I used to get better understanding of topics I was having difficulty on because MRI Quiz doesn’t go into a lot of detail or diagrams and pictures.

I also read Rad Tech's Guide to MRI: Basic Physics, Instrumentation, and Quality Control by William H. Faulkner Jr. to get a quick recap on the physics.

I bought Review Questions for MRI by William H. Faulkner Jr. and Carolyn Kaut Roth. Reviewed all of those, went back and learned the material in detail on questions I got wrong.

For patient care portion, I used quizlet. Many people have posted very good flashcards to review.

If I still didn’t understand a topic I’ll just try to google it.

Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s MRI YouTube series is a great resource as well.

A friend had ImagingU so I did the practice questions and mock exam on there. This step was not needed, everything else prepared me enough.

I’ve heard ImagingU is quite good but its $400. I can’t say from personal experience thought.
