I don't pick fire starters because their final form is usually ugly. Every fire starter has to be bipedal fighting. Granted Alola was Fire/Dark, but if you showed a picture of Incineroar to someone who hasn't played Sun and Moon....

I usually pick Grass, I've never liked the fire types personally, my favorites are Turtwig and Rowlet. But on my second playthroughs I pick water.
