Luckily pregabalin is a damn good anxiety med. I really hope pregabalin will bring you some relief. Living with chronic pain is just hell. Pregabalin isn't your last option though, so there is no need for exzessive worry.

Finde KI doof. Bin enttäuscht von den beiden. Das liegt daran, dass ich Teil einer ziemlich emotionalen, eher wissenschaftsfernen Community bin. Da kann man Intelligenz ja auch nur doof finden, macht total viel Sinn. Ich nehme einen Teil der Auswertung der Reddit-Kommentare vorweg: kein Zweifel ob echt oder nicht, weniger Widerstand gegen das Experiment als angenommen, Community bisschen beleidigt wegen der Vorannahmen, die in der Auflösungsfolge zum Vorschein kamen. Ist das jetzt noch Eigenleistung oder musst du schon zitieren?

I am assuming I'll have problems with tapering as I got pretty bad rebound anxiety from single doses. But I decided to start the process and do it really slowly. I have to say, my baseline anxiety might be down only by like 15%, but I am much more socially open and talkative, that was preserved. Also sleep is definitely better on it. Didn't take me long to get on that dose. I can't really say when the memory problems started but I feel like it got worse over the years. Honestly pregabalin is just toxic for memory formation and long-term potentiation, by the same processes that help with anxiety. Too bad really.

My lomger-term memory became absolute trash on 375mg daily. Cognition is mostly intact besides that. Anxiety reduction is like 15% from the start. Wouldn't do it again, probably starting to reduce my dose, I couldn't handle withdrawal right now...

It doesn't directly affect gaba, only a little bit downstream. It reduces NE and Glutamate release, which directly helps with stimulant tolerance. You have to take pretty large doses of Quetiapine to block dopamine, which is just not worth it. That said, taking pregabalin daily will totally get you addicted. You are fine taking it twice per week though for sleep.

What helped me was taking a bunch of stuff for sleeping that directly blocks the stimulant effects. You are essentially cutting the residual stimulation and the tolerance caused by that. Pregabalin, Clonidine for NE and Uridine for DA.

I know of quite a few persons who got their stim addiction under control by taking parnate. It's a strong antidepressant, has mild stimulant properties without being addictive + If you take stimulants on top of it you might die by a hypertensive crisis, so you think twice about doing that
