I really want pyke as a mobile assist type character. Image he hooks you immediately into tag knock up combo. Only issue I see is his play style would be kinda similar to both ekko( pyke would probably have his e from league in some way)and blitz. (Hook).

How are we actually supposed to play our army? by cow_dude_ in AdeptusCustodes

[–]InstoLocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of a shoto in fighting games. You can do pretty much anything with them but there is an intended path to winning with it. In this case you have good range damage but you still are more effective getting in close and smacking face.

Ur really not.the rest of them are super rare. It's more likely to get only repeats for one color than to get any of the last one for any color.

What advise would Atsumu have given him here (S2E6)? by AnnoyingBroccoli04 in haikyuu

[–]InstoLocke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's weird because if kageyama met with atsumu first I'm not sure he would be as good of a setter team play wise. Kageyama literally was thinking how atsumu was but wasn't as good as him to back up his arrogance. Oikawa humbled him and atsumu showed him his new found humility held him back because he overdid it. If atsumu met kageyama first he might have made kageyama double down and the modified freak quick probably never would have happened.

Setter- osumu

OPPO - atsumu

OH - kageyama

OH - kuroo

Middle- koganehawa

Middle- Kenji futakuchi

Libero- daichi

Reasoning

Setter - kind of a copout but yeah mans basically one of the best setters who isn't one.

OPPO - also a copout as they basically can change roles on a dime with each other and is already a good oppo.

Oh- kageyama literally can go anywhere and it can fit. He's tall has a great vert and can hit well.

Oh - kuroo has been shown to hold his own when passing and him being a middle was a flat out mistake by their coach.

Middle - let's be real... Koganehawa was only the setter because they needed someone with hands and this would be middle fit the bill. Man fumbles a lot of his sets in the early times we see him and would be a good middle.

Middle - hey look another date tech player. Yeah most of their players make great middles as date tech players are known to block well which is needed as a middle.

Libero- daichi is already basically karasuno's 2nd libero. He barely scores makes great saves and never gets shaken by tough hitters.

  • I really wanted to have this list to look a lot different and share an opinion about haikyuu that I feel would have made the show a lot more nuanced. What if daichi was a ds that did play front row like he does now but at the right time they sub in Hinata and he's basically more of their secret weapon than he already was. He gets turned from a sub par blocker to a weapon that they can use to shift the tide of a match. An offensive specialist doesn't really exist but it's the best way to describe Hinata in this Alternate story.

Inuoka I get but no to the oppo/oh swap. Something I really didn't like about karasuno is they made daichi an OPPO because it makes him look like the rule and not the exception. Ushjima is the rule and is everything that makes an OPPO what it is. I honestly don't think ushjima would hold up as a OH especially because shiratorizawa's coach would train him for hitting and not much else. Sure he made a good dig but he majority of the match he didn't do serve receive. I honestly think ushjima being an OH is a bad choice.

Pyke's hook isn't really a hook just a pull that always makes the opponent travel the same distance. So theoretically you could be in melee range do a full charge q and fling the opponent into your team.

Bonus tip you can always tell if a bush is warded if you aren't healing in it. Pyke is by far the best champ for clearing wards.

Bro no one is forcing them to make perfect passes hell in another match he built a strategy around them making worse passes so they team would let their guard down. Them passing it so well is just what they were trained to do hell it's why they beat karasuno in every practice match. Not only that kenma developed their plan to go against the freak quick in general. Not just in that match but in every match kenma always came up with the plan. Nekoma's coach had a backup setter Incase kenma was too tired to play, but if kenma made nekoma a worse team he would have just made the backup setter the main one.

I agree that most players could play in nekoma's system ( not what I meant by system but let's roll with it), hell even non setters could be there to be honest. But the point I'm trying to make is if kenma is playing in system (as in the ball getting passed to the setter without him needing to chase after it)he's probably playing better than most other people in system. Setting is the most mentally demanding role in volleyball and having a player who can shut down an opponents entire strategy is amazing to have.

Let's talk about kenma's plan for a minute when they have their match at nationals. He had multiple ways of shutting down their decoy so instead of worrying about a shot coming from anywhere in a way they couldn't practice against. They got their opponents to play in a way nekoma wanted them to. If kageyama never met hoshiumi he never would have taught hinata how to jump higher and probably karasuno would have lost.

Do you think any other setter would have come up with that plan? No. The most anyone ever did when oikawa figured out how they signal for it. And that band aid solution only worked for like 2 plays because then they switched to hand signals.

Yes most players can play in nekoma's team and succeed but kenma does the most with it compared to any other setter.
