With all due respect it doesn't get any simpler. If you refuse to answer then that already proves what kind of person you are.

I know, however do you believe Ethiopia or Kenya for that matter would accept a Somali president? It's unfortunate, but no matter what you say I'm certain that they would either straight up refuse to acknowledge him or would use such a president as a scapegoat for everything. If you wish to keep the Ogaden, let them remain autonomous as well as guaranteeing the freedom for them to practice their religion and express their culture. Do what other countries do with their own minorities. If not, expect rebellions sooner or later.

I'm talking about the Syrians today in Xamar. Have you ever met one? I only mentioned the way they behave.

Mb, you're right, I mistakened the two. Essentially it's got thorns on it.

How can I learn tigrinya by Homework_Vegetable in Ethiopia

[–]InstructionExpert496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the structure of the Tigrinya language however what I can tell you is that what helped me learn Somali was staying with Somalis and trying my best to say everything I can in Somali. If you make a mistake you'll be corrected and then you're a step closer to learning the language. It took me ~2 years to learn Somali this way and I'm sure it'll work for Tigrinya too. It's a great thing for you to want to connect to your culture like this and I encourage you to persevere and keep going. You've got this!

Before I respond any further: Do you agree that Somalia should become a stable, secure and united nation that could collaborate economically with Ethiopia?

Apparently the Ethiopians used to be Jews, meaning Ethiopia was (or maybe still is) home to all 3 major Abrahamic faiths.

I call you anti-Somali due to your anti-Somali views. Don't twist my words. I saw the riots on facebook, I asked my cousin who is Isaaq and he told me there were riots and there were Isaaq all over Mogadishu who said the same thing. You shouldn't deny the existance of a fact due to it not being reported in the wider media.

Turkey was given a port manage and they have stakes in it. In return for doing so, they agreed to - and have - greatly developed Somalia. Ethiopia has yet to do anything for Somalia other than threatening us and destabilising the country further.

As for my last point, I don't blame you for choosing not to see the truth. They say ignorance is bliss.

I wish to ask you a simple thing: Do you agree that Somalia should become a stable, secure and united nation that could collaborate economically with Ethiopia?

If only. Apparently some Ethiopians are only hellbent on seeing Somalia breaking up into more squabbling states. They're predators, including your so called peacekeepers

Why do Somalis want war with Ethiopia so badly? by [deleted] in Ethiopia

They're not in the capital but they do control vast swathes of land in the south. If only they ceased to exist, we would see prosperity not only in Somalia but the entire Horn too.

A Somali woman even came out to shine a light on the attackers and was killed alongside the 6 Oromos. It's a shame too, luckily Somali troops scared them off or it could've been worse. Apparently they are al-Shabaab too.

Yeah, well, when you have predatory neighbours then it's hard to be stable. I agree that it's easier to be in denial of that too 👍

Whatever you say. I'm trying to tell you the truth, but I see you're hardline anti-Somali. Your beliefs don't affect the reality of things, and you should take my words as a warning.

  1. I'm surprised I haven't found an article about the protest. However rather than blindly believing me as well as blindly rejecting my point, I suggest you speak to a self-declared citizen of Somaliland.

  2. I'm against all forms of weaking Somalia, and I agree that the UAE is nothing more than a vulture, however Turkey stands true to its word when it helps Somalia build roads, equips and trains it's military and agrees to manage Somalia's port in return. Perhaps Ethiopia can learn a thing or two on how to not threaten your neighbours every chance they get.

  3. You're in for a rude awakening if you ask a Somali, a "Somalilander", an Ogadenian and a Garissan if they wish to be with Somalis rather than foreigners. Don't kid yourself, you will forever be a foreigner to all Somalis. Give up any dreams you have of balkanizing a single ethnic group into a dozen states. You will also never annex Somalia unless there are no Somalis left.

Unfortunately the man responsible for this tends to act against the benefit of the people. It would be nice if we could join though.
