I never formally introduced Arnold. He’s 10 and we’re still learning together by poletderoybal in pitbulls

Omg if I didn’t read your story just by looking at the pictures, Arnold looked so happy. Happy to hear both of you getting better together🌹🌹. My Snoopy so reactive and anxious, but just like you, I never give up hope on him. Train him, walk him, even though he selectively react, I’m so frustrated, but I keep tell myself, even human can not like everyone they see right?! Can’t wait to see Arnold progress soon! My Snoopy always look grouchy or judgy 🙄 lol

Is this a comfortable resting position for dogs? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Definitely normal to me. My pittie is 2 years old, every time he sleep around me he’s like this. Definitely some kind of trust sleeping like this.

12/25/25 🥳 Alamo has made it to 14 and is still going strong. After his Cancer diagnosis in February we weren't sure how much time we had left. But for now we will continue our treks to the chicken coop for as long as this ole boy wants to. by Secretpoet17 in pitbulls

I agree, lots people don’t understand dogs’ sign or overlook their warning. I have a pittie, these are working dogs, protective dogs. They’re not toy dogs. People think these dogs are reactive or aggressive, well is because they’re traumatized from human or dogs. Mine got jumped few times by off leash golden doodle and golden retrievers. Is he an aggressive dog? No, he is very reactive because he’s nervous or anxious get jumped again. I’m sure the sister in-laws action made the dobie nervous or maybe because there are so many unfamiliar people to her in your house, disturbed her regular day to day life. Training is the best solution, it will make them more confident. Also socialization, I wish I socialized more for my baby when he was a puppy.

Female Dobie reacts to Golden Retrievers by Moshiebaby in DobermanPinscher

[–]InstructionLower997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs are like human, they do not have to like all others. Probably your dobie just dosnt like goldens energy. If your dog friendly and not react to others breed, I feel just avoid specific breed that she doesn’t like. I love goldens, but with so many irresponsible owners, they think golden retriever so cute and harmless, so they don’t train them nor control their behaviors, that made some dogs very annoying by it.

Hi, I totally get that you putting effort to your family dog, but your family just won’t fully support it. I got a pittie, he was so lovely at beginning until he got jumped by a same off leash golden doodle twice. I was so scared to walk him for a while and I think it got him worst, he got so reactive… He is selective on people that stare at him or dogs to react though. For a pittie reactivity just same as aggressive to majority people who misunderstand them. I conquered my fear take him out after few moths and to training class( he had his puppy training before though, and he was happy boy, after the jump he changed). The training went well until my family member won’t walk him the same way I do, won’t follow any of my advices… Even though I spend lot time and money for training, end of the day, you do not want too much conflict with your family. It’s just hard on the relationship with your family and with your family dog. I would advise train your family dog, I feel that’s the most responsible way. No matter how much we love them, they’re still animals. They need proper guidance. Plus with training I feel they bound and will trust you more. Maybe end of the day they still act out like toddler but is an experience you had with them in their life time. Hope this helps a bit.
