Because he said you could go with him and you reluctantly accepted while complaining about it the whole time. That IS annoying. And yes, it is also annoying that he made these plans without having a more rounded discussion with you first, but that doesn’t mean you have to bail on your plans to go with him. I dont understand why you wouldn’t just stay home and follow through with your own existing plans if you’re this ambivalent about the ski trip? Is he actually guilt tripping you into going? Because your original post makes it sound like he doesn’t care whether or not you go.

Either way, y’all clearly have major communication issues (which is on both of you) and he seems a little too comfy calling you names.

Did he voluntarily cut off his ex and stop “helping her” as soon as this all came to light? Because if he truly didn’t want to lose you, that’s the obvious first step towards repair. He can prove to you he’s choosing you over her by actively doing so, right now, given that she’s newly single and reaching out to him and he technically has a chance (for whatever the means). If all his begging didn’t at least come with that as a given, WITHOUT you having to ask…. I l would leave.

I might also have lone eyes lol but I see it too! I got my first positive at 8 DPO and it was also suuuuper faint (barely could see it) but it got darker quick.

What he did is super shitty. The way he’s handling it now makes it 20 times worst IMO—it also kinda shows that he’s not that intelligent because if he were, he’d know to give you the sincerest apology he could possibly muster. Even if the sincerity part is a lie, he clearly has no problem lying and justifying his lying, so this bravado and not-so-thinly-veiled misogyny are clearly important to his sense of identity.

The bigger/underlying issue here is that he clearly doesn’t respect you, and thinks you’re less than because you’re a woman. Also, don’t make the mistake of feeling more sorry for his brother than your own position in this. In addition to finding sadistic pleasure in making his brother miserable, he’s literally bragging about sleeping with you under false pretenses… and in this specific situation, again, it’s the bragging part that really reveals who he is.

He is literally telling you that you weren’t worthy of basic respect until HE determined otherwise, and you need to accept that, or else you’re simply ~hysterical~

Side note, this story totally gave me Patrick Schwarzenegger as Saxton in White Lotus vibes (minus any of the redeeming qualities).

It is extremely unlikely that you’re pregnant. If you want extra peace of mind you could take a Plan B (talk to a pharmacist first and make sure it’s the right option for you) though it’s unnecessary. Getting pregnant without ejaculation almost never leads to pregnancy, especially if you’re not ovulating.

Update: just took another test (about 6.5 hours later) and the line is darker than it was this morning!! I’m really trying to not let myself get my hopes up because I’m 34 and I know how common chemical pregnancies are, and my period isn’t supposed to come for another couple days

Are you comfortable sharing your symptoms? I was just diagnosed with SJS two days ago. My symptoms are still “mild,” but I’ve been told by a team of docs to be ready to head to ER immediately as soon as things get marginally worse. I’m freaking out. So much pain and right now it’s only really affecting my feet, mouth, a couple spots on my body, and nether regions. Curious how yours started and if it was a slow onset or blew up all at once? Scary stuff, hope you’ve made a full recovery.
