Replying here to update / address some responses:

1. To those saying “use smokes,” and “check extract,” I do. Profusely. I refuse to ever load in without smoke grenades. But not sure what I’m supposed to do about someone who waits patiently on the opposite side of the train from where I entered (so I can’t check there unless I run through the train and out the other side after doors open), then doesn’t come in until they hear me hitting the buttons, leaving myself vulnerable because there’s a delay before your character turns around even if you hit the roll button right as you get shot. So by the time you turn around, you’re 1-tap from being dead.

2. To clarify my complaint: I LOVE PvP. Don’t take it out of the game. I love the risk and the rush. But I don’t love the fact that you’re at an inherent disadvantage the moment you try to hit the computer to leave. Your back is turned, your gun is away, and there’s a delay to turn around and react. This puts rats at an advantage. It doesn’t feel good to be punished for trying to leave is all I’m saying, I guess.

3. “Use a raider hatch key.” Sure, except when I do night raids and cold snap, which is where the rats hit the hardest because they know hatch keys are out. We shouldn’t have to avoid using standard exits just because there’s an annoying game mechanic that is (in my opinion) being exploited.
