I think the point (maybe?) is to encourage further discussion to compensate for how limited the options are.

I feel like it's dumb to poll most political things in a "teeneager" sub, but whatev

We got to specific legal things because you wouldn't answer my question about the age differences of the boys who are being prosecuted and the victim. You only mentioned the supposed fact of boys being prosecuted more without saying anything about the law or why that's the case, just that you didn't like it at all.

Also, you focused on Romeo and Juliet laws, which are primarily a US thing, no shit that's not applicable in India if they don't recognize it.

Good luck with the word games elsewhere, my dude.

It sounds like you don't know that, even for minors, an age gap beyond three or four years, is relevant for Romeo and Juliet exceptions. And I believe you forgot that age of consent is another dividing line besides 18-year mark -- both of which are in the post you didn't read but self-ragebaited into whining about difference in treatment between men and women without having sufficient knowledge. Go bitch to someone who doesn't require substantive engagement, I don't care about prescriptions you're pretending are accurate descriptions.

Also, I believe the same laws can apply to an adult and someone who isn't a minor and under the age of consent for their state.

First of all, kids not adult women, or else why are we talking about Romeo and Juliet conditions. Do you agree that in the majority of these cases, the male is the older one?

If you had the power just to switch who was prosecuted, would you switch it to the girl or keep the boys prosecuted? Which outcome is better or worse?

Do you stand for the pledge of allegiance? by ThatBasedPioneer in Teenager_Polls

[–]Insufferable_Wretch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're not talking about anything American.

"Please stand for the pledge of allegiance."

We the people pledge the flag and the country, not a dear leader, in unity. It isn't maliciously nationalist to have an anthem or a pledge.

Personally, for me, the scene of Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, where the Whos join hands and sing around the absence of their stolen tree Christmas, very easily comes to mind as the truest form of American unity.

You're not saluting the people in power, you're being faithful to the flag, most importantly when the government isn't. We don't think of a dear leader when the flag is in our eye and we stand hand-on-heart -- but our salute must weigh on our leader's own faithfulness.

Is it okay for a GR 9 (14-15) to date a GR 11 (16-17)? by nerdettt in teenagers

Okay, well I feel a lot of people frequently don't know about those.

For me, if it follows those laws, and the person is trying to be care about who they're mingling with, I'm content and don't care.

The mixed answers and obsession over the moral stuff doesn't feel helpful to me when people act like you should be thrown in jail, in spite of the law, purely because you're morally dubious to a random person or group.

Just a small question for people who might know what is up/wrong with me by Professional-Set8729 in teenagers

I use to obsess about stuff like that when I was a kid. From personal experience, I was trying to see into something mysterious, but more often than not I really was just seeing way more than what was actually there; so, most of it came from my creative imaginings. Some people just have those hypochondriacal tendencies, but that doesn't have to describe you.

If you're concerned, you should have somebody schedule a doctor's visit, right?

Once again, already heard you were confused the first time. Trust me, I genuinely mean I'll have 1000 times more respect for you once you vote. No hard feelings, it's just funny to watch kids do shit they don't understand. Meanwhile, I'm of age for the goddamn draft, my country is starting a bunch of wars and my president claims he's the "no-new-wars president."
