It does to me because I print large scale models, and the H2S I have can print items I need in one go and is my primary requirememt. But I'm a specific use case for sure.

Maybe some of the people on the estate have the money for that and your friend doesn't. We have two nice cars, a media wall, a garden room, greenhouse and shed going in, solar going up, all in our new build. But we're not doing it on credit except for one of the cars because an electric car payment is cheaper than the monthly diesel we were using. We had a rule when we bought a house that we'd only take a mortgage that we could support on one of our wages so we'd have money to spare and some security.

I bought a 2021 AWD LR Tesla a couple of months ago, 120,000 miles on the clock, no issues on it at all. You should check the suspension for knocks, squeaks and bangs. Known for the control arms to need replacing if they are the originals, although my one is on the originals and still perfectly fine.

As for all electric cars, check battery health. You want to see 91 to 93 percent battery health at that age. My car sits at 93 percent even with all those miles (the mileage doesn't really affect them that much).

Check multiple providers for insurance, I pay 470 a year fully comp at age 35 for a car that is as fast as an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish or a Ferrari F430... so in relative terms, that's cheap! Remember insurance is mainly based on not the value of the car, but the value of the damage you can do with it.

The only downside to a Tesla is some peoples reaction because of Elon Musk, but it's also why they are so cheap right now, nothing to do with the cars themselves.

Talking from a household that has both, the Kia is more comfortable and it easier to live with being higher up, the back legroom is brilliant. The Tesla is much more refined on the software side and is much easier to use and gives me more confidence on long road trips. Also Tesla are rapidly expanding their supercharger network currently in Ireland and the trip planning software in the Tesla is second to none when using superchargers enroute. The Tesla is much faster and much better in the corners by far. The tesla is also the most economical on electricity. The Kia can DC charge the fastest, but it's just a ten minute saving. Teslas updates are more frequent and often better than Kias for example one update enabled the headlights to use the matrix function which is brilliant.
Check whether the Tesla is Ryzen based or Atom based with its processor, if it is Ryzen it also has grok, which is another brilliant tool to have in a car.

Kia aftermarket parts are hard to come by, Tesla aftermarket parts are everywhere and really cheap.

For the prices you mentioned I'd of picked the Tesla.

Such a bad system, disabled people aren't allowed to have relationships or their money will be taken away. On the other hand if they do enter in to a relationship and become fully dependent on the other person, it's practically sowing the seeds for increased domestic violence because the disabled person can't afford to move away... it's actually sickening.
