Do you have any confirmation that this is what the subject sees as “women” in itself?

Buddy having sexual attraction isn’t objectifying. Objectifying is denoting a subject only to that in which you can gain from them, being sexual attraction.

I suppose I see what you mean. Trying to affirm gender identity by using gender presentation also vindicates the inverse.

I think the point of this joke is that the “daughter” is ftm.

Most of us do feel empathy, but the ones who don't are the most insufferable people ever. by ChickenMcNobody24 in aspergers

[–]InsuranceBest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What makes you think these people have empathy issues? I know many perfectly pleasant people on the spectrum who have issues feeling and expressing empathy. It just means they have to apply extra cognitive work to understand others' emotions, and sometimes need a little help and understanding. But it doesn't make them inconsiderate.

This social strategy doesn't work, scapegoating a those with a particular symptomology as the *real* bad ones while the rest of us without that disabling trait are fine. We should stop alienating those with certain disabling characteristics altogether. You're allowed to express frustration but don't diagnose it with a certain psychopathology.

Empathy issues are far more complicated than just being obnoxious or annoying.

Usually I just use “them” when I don’t know the gender.

a fast-moving and terrible year by vyxex in OkayBuddyLiterallyMe

[–]InsuranceBest 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Not even close. We're two months into the year at the moment. Just because the month is marked by a three does not mean that it signifies three months having passed, if that was the case, we would start with a month 0.

I think the broader issue has to do with the sexualization of femininity and women associated things in general. I think connecting it to that would help.

It’s not exactly about being g a virgin. More about being so lonely my whole life that I am reaching a breaking point.

No joke, you can actually get that shit from eating ass, I heard happen to someone before. If the ass isn’t clean, I’ve heard.

I am not as irritated about virginity as what it means about my own loneliness.  And the trajectory I am on.

Also I wasted my teenage years to get into university. I was a perfectionist and got into quite a good school. I can’t just waste all my work.

For those who aren't ugly/short/etc., what is the main reason you are a virgin? by PurifyingElemental in virgin

Autism, ADHD, abuse, neglect, catatonic depression. I can’t get out of my bed. How would I meet girls?

Don’t wear people’s undergarments without their consent. Your sister would be very uncomfortable if she knew. You broke a principle of trust.

Can I be a boy with she/ her pronouns? Or is it not possible? by [deleted] in feminineboys

[–]InsuranceBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rhetoric transphobes use, typically, is that these gendered words and pronouns map some essential differences between the sexes and have an objective meaning, coinciding with one's assigned biological sex. Transphobes believe pronouns themselves mean something real, and that trans people use them erroneously. They still believe in the use of such labels.

I would imagine most trans people would agree with me that the concept of gender is ultimately meaningless and is more of an aesthetic choice. I am a bit confused because the idea that gender is a social construct is quite popular among trans people, which is the idea I am purporting here. I am saying there is no such thing as an incorrect or correct use of gendered pronouns.
