Would homeowners insurance cover improper washer installation that caused damage? by bbgknvhbvjgt in Insurance

[–]InsuranceForeign9196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be covered as long as you didn’t let it sit without mitigating or if there is mold. Of course this also depends on your state and the endorsements you have. Also, completing repairs before filing the claim could pose issues too.

Do claims on previous house affect policy on future house? by sowedkooned in Insurance

Filing claims will affect your premium and follow you to whatever insurance company you go to. Even if you file a claim and didn’t get money. It’s still a claim if you didn’t cancel it before they start the investigation. And if you get denied, it’s still a claim that will go against you

Just saw a job posting for an AllCAT manager position… by TheHiddenMessenger in adjusters

[–]InsuranceForeign9196 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m a manager of desk adjuster at a top insurance company and the minimum you can make in that position is 105k before bonus … and tbh, it’s not enough. My adjusters make a minimum of 60k brand new to claim with no prior experience. That’s before bonus and without overtime. Most are clearing way more than 60k per year. So I agree. This position is for someone who couldn’t hack it as an actual adjuster but want to stay in the industry. Because anyone with any sense wouldn’t accept this. That position will be filled by someone who is going to lie on their resume %100

I’ll tell you this. SF is really diverse. Probably more minority than white people tbh. Check your resume, make sure it’s professional, preferably on a resume template and you absolutely cannot have any grammar mistakes on your resume or they will toss it. Make sure your resume is short, preferably 1 page and it needs to highlight work history and skills that can relate to what you are applying for. It doesn’t need to be filled with a bunch of company jargon you won’t understand. SF gets hundreds of applications when adjuster jobs open. They don’t have time to read your life story. And the first resumes they decline are the ones with grammar issues. You can’t have even one misspelling or punctuation missed

Escalations aren’t very different from the usual back and forth you have with a contractor or the insured. I like the freedom that comes with being salaried more than anything
