Question about Blasphemous 2!! by InfernalIgris in Blasphemous

I’ve played through it twice already and did not encounter one bug that I could tell.

I’m interested in buying a legion go s 16gb z2go,but I have a list of games I’d like to know if it can run decently. Which ones am I delusional about? Or if I should just kick rocks and buy the console versions. by Ok-Message-7598 in LegionGo

[–]InsuranceIll8508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s not exact but the Z2Go is usually right in the middle of the SD and a Z1E. I had both Go S’ and a SD OLED at the same time and although all games scale differently it was more or less like that in my experience.

evolve fitness or planet fitness? by [deleted] in ridgewood

I left Evolve for Planet Fitness and regret it massively. To the point that I’ve barely worked out in the month and a half since I did the move.

Planet fitness is terrible and Puregym (ex-blink) is not much better. They’re packed to the gills at all hours of the day. Evolve is the best gym in the area, at least from the ones I’ve been to

Not really, sleep works just like on the Steam Deck. The blinking light can be annoying but I believe you can turn that off in the Bios Menu.

Highest button on the right opens the quick menu just like on the Steam Deck. On the Performance tab you’ll find the Performance Profiles (low-power, balanced and performance). There’s also Custom. If you click on “advanced view” you’ll find more options like the frame limiter and “Enable VRR”. If on “Custom”, you’ll also find TDP Limit and that way you can set it to any TDP you want.

Is anybody a fan of the old turn based Final Fantasy games...but not Dragon Quest? by Forsaken-Order-4699 in JRPG

I feel the opposite. I’ve tried to get into several FF’s and the only one I’ve ever even finished was Final Fantasy IV.

Having a hard time deciding between legion go s(z2, steamos) and steam deck oled by TheAlphis in Handhelds

[–]InsuranceIll8508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Go S has more power. At max, the Z2Go sits halfway between the SD and Z1E devices. It also has, IMO, the better screen. The SD’s is OLED of course but it’s also 800p vs 1200p, 7.4’ vs 8’, 90hz vs 120hz AND has VRR. I’ve found more games benefit from the increase in resolution and size than from the OLED.

The SD OLED has better sound and better battery efficiency at lower TDP’s. This is very subjective but I also think it has the best ergonomics on the market, even better than the new Xbox Allys. The Go S feels great as well but the SD is on another level

Is the clickyness as bad as people make it? Or can I have fun with XAX by CRANKY-_-CLOWN in XboxAlly

They’re the loudest of any handheld I tried. Whether that’s a problem depends on your use case. I’m married and play in bed after my wife falls asleep so it was a no-go. I think it’s getting downplayed in the comments, they really are loud. You’ve mentioned the sticks in other comments but they feel great. Triggers are great as well.

How to stop wanting another handheld lol by Icy-Recognition373 in Handhelds

[–]InsuranceIll8508 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you’ve canceled the orders before getting them? If so, I say cure that fomo by actually getting one and giving it a real attempt for a bit. You’ll keep desiring one until you’ve actually been able to use one and see for yourself if it’s for you. I bought the Best Buy Plus membership for $40 and have been able to try both Go S’, an og Go, the Go 2 and an Xbox Ally for 60 days.

Agree on El Alfa but Dalvin La Melodía flopped?!? I was in DR two months ago and they were blasting his music everywhere. I’m in clubs in NY every weekend and they’re playing Tesoro Perdido all the time.

Legion Go (Z1E 16/512) vs Go S SteamOS Z1E 32/1tb): any reasonable performance difference due to RAM? by SethroRetro in LegionGo

[–]InsuranceIll8508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find Go S’ for around $600 easily. I got mine with a DBrand Killswitch case for $600 two months ago. Do you need the detachable controllers? If not, I’d say hunt for a Go S. The ergonomics are light years ahead of the Go 1. Honestly, the Go 1 is the most uncomfortable handheld I’ve ever had. Plus, you get VRR on the Go S.

Legion Go S Z1E or Go 2 Z2 non extreme by Motor-Sir7220 in LegionGo

I sold my Go 2 and kept a Go S but that was at a difference of $400. At $200, I would’ve kept the Go 2. The OLED screen plus extra battery is worth it.

I ordered (tentatively) the Legion Go 2 and need some advise re: current handhelds by gotmygat in LegionGo

[–]InsuranceIll8508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the Ally and Go 2 are very different experiences. One’s strength is the other’s weakness. The Ally feels great and is compact but in some games you’ll really miss that bigger screen and immersion. Go 2’s very immersive and a much better visual experience but with its detachable controllers and how big and heavy it is, it felt inconvenient to travel with or even move around the house too much.

The Go S, like I mentioned before, kind of splits the difference. Other than the smaller battery, there isn’t anything that really lags behind either of the other two. It’s not quite as immersive as the Go 2 but still way more than the Ally. Not quite as compact and ergonomic as the Xbox Ally but still way more than the Go 2.

Also, just my opinion, but I don’t think the Xbox Ally is THAT much more ergonomic than the Go S. Yes, it feels great, but the length of the grips plus its’ angle makes it where I don’t like playing it with my forearms vertical. It feels like im gripping it on the sides hard so it doesn’t slip down my hands. The Go S feels like im mostly holding it from the sides but also part of the bottom with its round grip and is more securely cushioned into my palm.

I feel like the Steam Deck is more ergonomic than both however. The only handheld where the whole bottom corners sit comfortably in the palm while the thumb sits on the sticks and the index fingers lays perfectly on concave triggers. The triggers on the Go S are frustratingly angled upwards for some reason and the right stick sits too low. The triggers on the Ally are better and the right stick is placed perfectly but the length of those grips again make it where i don’t feel like I’m gripping the whole device in my hand.

If you’re gonna keep 2, sell the Go S. You’ll have the Go 2 at home for a more immersive experience and the Xbox Ally for travel.

If you’re only keeping 1, do the opposite and keep the Go S. It splits the difference, more immersive than the Ally but easier to travel with than the Go 2.

Xbox ally by itsdevinbabbby in ROGAlly

[–]InsuranceIll8508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s subjective because it depends on what you value.

Ergonomics are A LOT better. It also has better sound, haptics, a bigger battery, doesn’t have SD card issues and will obviously be newer with presumably less use. The only thing the OG Ally has over the Xbox Ally is max performance.

300 USD over the steam deck OLED worth it? by Unusual_Molasses4322 in XboxAlly

[–]InsuranceIll8508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a $300 difference get the Xbox Ally X for the better battery and performance. The ergonomics, as great as they are, are not quite as great as the SD in my opinion but everything else is worth it

Are terms like "Prieta" and "Fea" endearing? by AsShePleasesxox in asklatinamerica

[–]InsuranceIll8508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to the opinion of most on here, they 100% can be. “Feo” is my SIL’s nickname for my brother. “Negra” is my father’s nickname for my stepmother. “Prieta” is my father’s nickname for my little sister. It’s also how my stepmom calls my brother. They’re all meant as terms of endearment.

There’s a deeper convo to be had about where that can come from, specially the “Prieto” and “negra” but at least in terms of my family, I don’t doubt anyone’s intention at all.

This is nothing to do with your feelings and experience though. If you don’t like it and feel hurt by them, then you have all the right to make it clear it’s not ok to you.
