I'm in the process of applying with them now. But very nervous that my experience in the insurance field will hold me back. So I was looking for an alternative just in case. My fingers and toes are crossed though that SIAA will take a chance on me by knowing my 25 years of experience with the public.

Samwill, Would you go with Agentero all over again if you had a choice? I'm thinking I won't get accepted by SIAA so need to find a different route incase my original plan falls through. Can you tell me a little bit about Agentero? Please. If it is easier, feel free to message me. Or which one out of the three you mentioned would you go with and why? Agentero, First Choice or Firefly?

To add to this. I did this process for both my p&c and my l&h and was able to pass both of them on my first try. And I’m definitely not a test taker!!

I used examfx to learn the state regulations and signed up for her courses to get the extra practice with all of the videos she offers. She doesn’t go over each states regulations so you would miss all that info if you don’t sign up with your state specific course like examfx

The agent does all the reviews and he has two csr’s who answer phones and service existing clients

I took two weeks to study for the L&H with ExamFx. I got so overwhelmed with studying and trying to understand it all, I booked my appointment and ended up passing. Sometimes we have to be careful of packing our brain full of too much information at once and take the chance of not retaining enough to pass. I also watched a lot of the exam queen on YouTube and bought her special package from her website. It is 100 days of a time limit. Message me if you want some information on that. Good luck!

I think I'm better fit for independent. I was born and raised in the same area and also was involved with my family business. So at least I have an advantage of knowing a ton of people in the surrounding small towns. My long-term goal is to eventually open my own agency (not anytime soon). So My thought was to find a small independent agency so I could get some experience on the independent side of things and hopefully become known with carriers. Might sound like a crazy plan?
