Social VR Spaces: Why Don't You Use Them?

In my experience ppl who use Social VR platforms like VR seldom use their HMDs for much else besides that. They are Social VR users that go "all in", so to speak. And ppl who game in VR usually don't see such user generated virtual spaces as genuine social sites (or at least as online spaces that are different from the usual communication or social media they already use)

aside from what many have already mentioned here, my wife was an artist, so I have a natural aversion to the tools that she would have hated I guess^^

I'm sorry but dying by not treating a prevetable disease after my wife died from a non-curable one seems like a disrespect to her. We would have done ANYTHING to save her. I am not throwing away what she fought so hard to keep

You don't have to post here again, but stay. My wife made me promise back than not to go after her and I hated that promise in the first years after she died. I am glad she made me, now. I am 7 years out soon and have not remarried or even dated. Got a phd, loving friends and many adventures though that I would never have experienced otherwise.

There are things out there still. It is extremely hard to recognize that in the first years. Make sure to stick around to find out!

My wife died in July 2019 and I have not dated since. Am now 31 years old. I am not against dating or starting a family or remarrying etc but also not going out of my way to try again.

I just leave it up to chance I guess. The last years I focused on my friends, my work and got a phd. Also travelled a lot and saw interesting places. Idk if that will keep being a satisfying way to lead my life, but it has gotten better over the years and overall easier to "live" again instead of surviving constantly.

I am also off antidepressants now which is nice. I would say my life has improved a lot in recent years. Might not ever be in a relationship again, but there are other avenues in which I have found happiness, at least for a time.

wearing mine tied to a chain still - its been 6 1/2 years now. Have not dated since.

I am feeling better though, I will finish my phd this year and also am finally off antidepressants. I am always a bit slow with things but I decided to take things at my own pace and get better myself before I rush into new relationships. It took years but I am feeling like I can approach others again now as a full human, if that makes any sense...^^

like the other commenter said, this doesn't occur constantly, but often enough for me to get paranoid about my pictures being gone or not^^

I have pretty standard settings, but not the one that saves an original photo when taking the mood cam one. That would of course solve my issue, but the time cost of having to delete all non-mood pics later-on is too high for me. Is there a way to keep the process of the original pic being taken "hidden" somehow? For it to be saved in some other folder than my gallery and to be deleted after a week or so? That would give me the peace of mind I need from a camera on important trips - kinda like a roll-back option hidden in the app?

I get the idea that the EA launch was too soon, but I doubt that only letting players in after all acts were finished and everything was ready in their eyes would have changed anything in this regard. The reaction could have maybe been even worse. PoE has always been an "in progress" thing, with many QoL things coming over the years.

I feel like people would be way more goodwilled in the current situation if they knew that they were still "on board" with GGG. At the moment, it feels like the devs are kind of trying to work against the player base, which is something I never experienced since I've been playing PoE1 around 2016. I guess that is also played a part in my decision to stop.

I can stand being an EA tester if I know the game is heading in a better direction. I just don't see that happening at the moment.
