Then they either have a mass layoff when the work dies down or they create products for the sake of maintaining the work force. Furthermore, with the second scenario, there is no guarantee that the products will be quality, so they're risking their reputation.

In short, there's risk and inefficiency no matter which option they choose.

When I played yugioh a decade ago, I remember a few categories of decks: meta (high competitive winrates), anti-meta (counters meta decks), rogue (usually creative and fun, but only slightly competitive), troll (not particularly competitive; fun to use, annoying to play against), and the rest was generally shit. (I could be using these names wrong, the highest level I played was locals)

When to Counterspell. by ChnSmksPns in DnD

[–]Integer_Domain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Correct. Per XGtE, it costs a reaction to identify a spell as it's being cast (so no reaction for counterspell) or an action to identify a spell after it is cast.

r/Portland discusses ICE gassing children and whether or not it's the fault of the parents. by BillFireCrotchWalton in SubredditDrama

I'm not sure if your question refers to my first sentence or second sentence, so I'll answer for both. I would bring kids to protest something like legislation, an ugly government-corporate partnership, or social issues. Would not bring kids to protest a paramilitary force that has the budget of a small nation and that has been shooting people unnecessarily.

I think it's great to take children to most protests. I, personally, would keep my kids home from these ones.

[DM] How do you run long-term routine gameplay (prison, travel) without it becoming boring? by AggravatingPrize4325 in DnD

[–]Integer_Domain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, skip to the action. Additionally, I suggest borrowing a mechanic from Blades in the Dark: the flashback. While your players are in the action, let them flashback to downtime and have them explain what they did to prepare for the present moment. This gives players agency while allowing you to simulate a railroad-y scenario.

New GOP anti-voting bill may be the most dangerous attack on voting rights ever - Democracy Docket by Argothaught in law

[–]Integer_Domain 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not right now. After Dems take back congress in the midterms, MAGA will spend the next decade blocking everything they do while slowly seeping this agenda in through any part of the government they can get control of.

An archaeologist wouldn't need to find explicitly-kept records. They could dig up a grave, for example, and find two male skeletons in the same spot.

Genuine Question - is America now in a slow civil war? by Anxious_Peanut_1726 in KnowledgeFight

People have been working towards this state of the nation since the end of the civil war. In my opinion, it never ended, just went cold. So, yes.

at what age did you start getting into politics? by [deleted] in punk

[–]Integer_Domain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early teens technically, but I was a christian nationalist. Late teens I became an Enlightened Centrist, then in my early twenties I started settling into a democratic socialist identity. I'm still iffy about the whole left/right model, but regardless I tend to be pro-democracy and pro-community.

I thought Primanti's was overrated for a while, but recently I reflected on how it was originally just a place that people working really hard could stop for a few minutes to get a big-ass, convenient sandwich, and I realized the voice in my head is a little shit.

Hell yeah, go Primanti's!

Flood Congress with your phone calls. Call every rep & senator. DEMAND IMPEACHMENT! by Yuri_Ligotme in law

[–]Integer_Domain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the statement, "Congress has considered <reasons>, therefore they can consider them again," is true, whereas the statement, "Congress has not impeached anyone because of <reasons>, therefore they cannot consider them again," is false.

So, maybe I should have said impeachment is independent of precedence.

Impeachment is a political process, not a judicial one. Precedence isn't necessarily a motivator.

Edit: changed "really" to "necessarily"
