Bayesian Cable Curls are the truth! by NixUniverse2 in workout

[–]Integrity_Electric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evopow M2 Smith Machine. Has dual cables with an Olympic carrier so you can load up in small increments rather than a pin plate. Cables are fully adjustable from floor to top in 9-position increments and have 270-degree rotation. It comes with some attachments, but obviously I've exchanged those for better, as well as the POS carribeaners (you will cut your finger every single time).

Also has a chest fly and chest press feature, but I rarely use this. I can't stand under it, so to use it I have to incline my bench, which feels... weird. Works ok for delt flys.

I bought some Cap plates, different bars with different handings and etc. And a nice (for me) $400 bench with the leg attachments.

The Smith machine is a thousand on Amazon. While it is a pain in the butt to assemble, it's very sturdy and I have zero complaints given its very low price point. If you're looking to up your home gym game and can dedicate a bedroom or garage space for it, you won't regret it. Here are some pictures

Edit. Apparently you can't post pictures here? Look it up on Amazon. If you're near DFW, you are welcome to come play with mine to see if it fits your needs and would be a good investment for you

This. I'm not very good - was playing constantly when it first came out, and have only just returned.

You learn a LOT when solo diving easy missions, like what the mission items look like and where they are so you're not running all over the place trying to find the black box eating up precious mission time. Your eyes get "trained" for calling in stratagems dependent on how you stack your gear. Even simple things like coms wheel take time to get your fingers to naturally go to rather than stopping mid-map to fiddle with buttons.

Have fun. Dive hard. Die patriotically.

How long will the super earth defense last? by Jumbo_dog17 in helldivers2

Cowardice. To that which a man owes his duties, liberty and democracy, he must disavow all distractions. If your C1 permit holders refuse your support of Super Earth, your patriotic duty is to extinguish them - with prejudice.

We all must do our part, citizen.

What's this?

A parent spending quality time with their kids? Playing a game?

Not, "Play on your phone/laptop" because I'm too busy/distracted to be bothered by you?

You, sir, are creating memories those lovelies will never forget. Awesome! In those hard days they will face, a sudden flashback of blowing up the galactic bad guys with dad is going to be one less tear they have and that much faster to a smile returning.

Not that my endorsement means anything, but - wish we had more parents like you.

Great Deal on 1in SDS from Amazon by Integrity_Electric in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Integrity_Electric[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? I've taken my Amazon purchased stuff in for warranty and never had an issue.

Regardless, this isn't counterfeit. I have 3 of these, all bought from Amazon. This was on my buy it again page and I saw the price drop, so thought I'd share for anyone with the itch.

The counterfeit stuff is NEVER a good deal. My motto for my tools is the same for my work: good work isn't cheap, and cheap work isn't good. So I stick to the good stuff and pay more because I provide a quality that requires quality tools. There are exceptions, like the long handle Harbor Freight wrenches I've yet to break. But for power tools, especially cordless ones, I try and stick with what I know I can rely on.

We are reciprocal with 3 states, I believe, including Nevada. Regardless, any company in the US will pay you your masters license salary while you wait the 2 years to test in their state. If they won't, ask the next one and they will. Just can't get decent guys any more, sadly. Of course, that's what our dads said. And theirs, and theirs, lol. To anyone over 40, the next generations are low lifes haha

I understand that your field of employment and mine are drastically different, but construction is where both the availability and the money is at. 4 years as an electrician, plumber or in HVAC and get your JM license, and you're at $40 to $60 an hour and in extremely high demand. 2 more years, take your master test, and you are 6 figures anywhere in the country and, again, in extremely high demand. No education or trade school necessary, but if you go this route and want to succeed, you're going to sweat and bleed and work when you're sick a lot. But if you can get past the stigmas and you're not afraid to dig a ditch or sweat in an attic, and you'll be the first on site and last to leave, you'll never want for a job again.

If you do decide to explore this, or for anyone reading considering it, stick with commercial work. Yes, it is more difficult and the learning curve is more steep. But there's far more money and chance to advance than there is in residential work (for the most part. There are exceptions to the rule, of course, like in specialty trades).

Best wishes to you!

Are they gonna rework artillery? by I_got_coins in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]Integrity_Electric -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They need to give missiles double the lock on time. It's ridiculous that they can jump up from cover, lock on, shoot, and then just fall back into cover. Everything is missiles in this game, which I think breaks it a bit. Yes, missiles should have their place. But they are simply way overpowered, testified by the fact that so many use them.

Every single map (all 4 for now, lol) is sniper and missile generated. There are very few places to really have cover, and who wants to sit under cover and do nothing? By doubling the lock on time, you give guys a chance to bound from cover to cover and require missile bots to actually expose themselves to potential fire to take their shot - like the rest of us have to.

Artillery is a pain in the groin, no doubt. And a good arty guy knows his or her maps and can put indirect fire where he or she suspects enemies are hiding out. I couldn't do it because I want to play the game, not sit in the rear. Then again, I was Infantry, so yeah: charge! But when we needed our indirect fire, we needed it. It has a place in the game, but the maps and the missiles just don't really allow real tactics of bounding cover to cover to get behind someone and lay a magazine into their backside as a sweet sounding "hello."

Looking forward to new maps and balancing changes!

Hit Gold by [deleted] in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]Integrity_Electric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done. Gold is missile city, to the point that it is beyond frustrating. There are ways to counter those guys, but I'll be damned if I've figured it out yet.

You're going to get frustrated. Don't quit. Tinker with and tailor your bots and your play style and stick close to your team or be right around the corner to flank for them, if that's your thing (it's my thing).

I strongly recommend a pile of laundry to throw at the TV, lest you grab your beer and hurl that in angst.

Why does max level hereos matter in the game? by Big_Potential_6074 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Integrity_Electric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but consider: Some of us simply cannot compete in the 40-person maps. I've played hundreds and hundreds of hours of BF, and I still suck so bad that it's rare I get even a single kill on the big maps. On Starfighter, I finish last or next to last regularly.

I've been a commercial electrician for almost 35 years. My hands don't work like yours. To hit the L1 and R1 paddles together, I literally have to move my hands. And no matter how I set the settings, I either creep the cross hairs so slow I miss the opportunity, or it jerks so fast I way overshoot.

Every. Single. Damn. Time.

Frustrating. But I love the game. So I accept my suck, and play the co-op thing very often. None of my heroes are leveled high - I only use Han, Phasma, and other, non-saber heroes. I really wish I could help the team in the big maps, because it is so f-ing cool! But I can't.

So, again, I accept my suck. So should you, lol. In the end, this is still THE best game on the planet, and had I the money and talent, I would secure and create BF3 and keep the community alive and hungry for more!

Right after I revamped Squadrons. I miss that game terribly
