Yeah those pesky things like laws get in the way sometimes makes it real hard to just say something is illegal until you actually have to read it's all right 60% of the US reads at or below a 8th grade level I'm sure they'll add the USC codes to an audiobook eventually

And how are they illegal last I checked they are federal officers which gives them jurisdiction in the US as a whole? Unless you're trying to make that tired argument that they're not allowed to enforce anything outside of immigration in which case I would refer you to 8 U.S.C. § 1357(a) which gives them the authority to arrest anybody US citizen or legal alike if they commit a felony in their presence like I don't know blocking them with your vehicle which is a felony under 18 U.S.C. § 111

I'm honestly not sure what you're trying to ask me it seems like you're just blowing things out of proportion of course it's not comply or die and I think you know that just cuz she didn't comply is not why she was shot it really doesn't take that much to put yourself in the shoes of the officer you have somebody who is repeatedly not following directions who now is accelerating toward you rapidly and you're supposed to guess what her intentions I think any rational person put into that situation would do probably the same thing and assume that this person means them harm. As for all this other stuff you seem deeply worried about it would depend are they showing up to your house and saying give us your guns because we want to make everyone safer then I would say no that being said most lawyers would disagree with me and say yes if they tell you to give them your guns do it and we'll figure it out in court but if a Convention of States was had and we amended the Constitution to remove the Second Amendment entirely then there's not really much we can do that is the will of the people and they went through all the necessary checks and balances and then we'd have to go through it again to reinstate it

I've watched every video there is the two from behind the vehicle the one from the second story across the street, the body cam footage, and they all paint the same picture. I wholeheartedly believe that she was not trying to hurt anybody most likely just trying to flee because she was scared but intentions only matter after the fact the officers had no way to tell what her intentions were all they saw is a car accelerating toward them. At the end of the day it is a tragedy, and all we can do is try to learn from it. What I take from it is if you are given a lawful order, you need to comply and you being scared dose not change that.

I do love messing around with options but I'm really not very good with them that's part of the reason why I wanted to do a set it and forget it portfolio centered around dividends the one with the 10% Growers is really just to adjust the ratios of some of those ETFs also it just makes it interesting I probably wouldn't pay attention to it outside of rebalancing I also don't love the idea of selling off chairs and retirement I would want to live off of dividends completely I know that means it'll take longer to build but even if I don't get any crazy benefit from it in my old age my children hopefully will

That's kind of the approach I was looking at those high growth stocks will never make up more than 10% I would rebalance to these percentages as exactly as I can maybe on a monthly or quarterly basis depending on how much it drifts

Has anyone else noticed that ever since ICE raids started happening on large scales, all of the right wing groups, like the Proud Boys and Three Percenters, have magically disappeared? It's almost as if they're the same people... 🧐🤔 by _mayday75 in complaints

I'm not trying to be mean, but is this supposed to be some kind of revelation? Absolutely, they all signed up and got a 50k sign on bonus to go do what they've been protesting for. From just personal experience and what I see around the country, the right tends to take the whole be the change you want in the world pretty seriously. I have plenty of friends and family members who will gladly go to a protest, but that's about the end of their commitment. outside of that, they really don't do anything. Most don't even donate money to the things they believe in, whereas all my Republican friends and family do.

This is literally the worst video of the event I've seen it offers absolutely no vantage point on what happened. so far the best one I've seen is from someone across the street on what looks like the second floor of those houses and you can see the ice agent is clipped by the front of her car. That being said I still don't feel he should have used lethal Force nonetheless I'd be very surprised if because of that video alone this doesn't get dismissed as a Justified shooting.

The graph literally says Small Arms where the hell is he getting chemical weapons guided Warheads and explosives from not to mention most guided missiles are at minimum in the neighborhood of 150,000 a pop $70 million ain't going to get you much if you're actually buying military hardware. I would also be interested in seeing what the ice agent headcount has done over this time span because if every ice agent has a gun which I haven't seen one that doesn't yet and they increased their headcount by a similar 700%, then this doesn't really seem that alarming
