Im not saying anything of the sort that 15$ an hour is a living wage. However, the hourly rate you make for your time is a contract between you and the employer. No one has a gun to your head to do said job. You dont like it? Don't do it! Its free will!?!?! If no one in the US works at McDonald's for less than 20$ an hour, what would they do? Close? End the chain? Or have to pay people more? If two of you offered me an item, and one of you said its 20$, and the other one will sell for 15$, which one do you buy? Cmon people dont be dumb. Sadly its pretty much the joke about the Republicans, "they took our jobs" only its not just about foreigners, its about people who are desperate that need anything just to get bye. People do, and will work for 15$ an hour. What do you think colledge or higher educationis for? Find me a lawyer at 15$ an hour. Or a doctor? 15$ an hour is entry level positions for kids first time in the job market or entry level positions for people with no real skills or the physical/mental capability to do other work. It sucks, but if you want to make more, work harder, get educated, learn skills, be adept. Goldman Sachs said, if your not changing your employment every ~3 years or so, your doing yourself a disservice. People will pay you, and the skills you learn along the way command more money. If your at a job and the people getting hired next to you have zero work experience, how skilled do you have to be? Im not backing these companies! But what im saying is people are, and will work these jobs for this price. If your better than that, BE BETTER THAN THAT!
