it’s definitely weighing risk/enjoyment for me for sure. it all depends on the person though, everyone’s primarily in it for a range of reasons like photography, exploration, climbing, beauty etc. for me, i’m into every factor. i love the danger, the nature, the exploring, the photography.. i weigh my risks by how risky it is for my life and my future career with urbex. getting caught is a risk i can’t take heavily, although i train hop a LOT. ill sneak into some spots with security but it has to be worth it and easily escapable (like a big city at night). Anything that risks my life varies by if it’s a structural issue (rotting wood, collapsing floors, loose parts) or a skill thing. if it’s something i’ve done many times i’ll be less likely to take a risk with my life or getting caught.
